West Ham United's principal sponsor Betway has slammed manager Slaven Bilic's decision to persist with winger Michail Antonio at right back.

In an extraordinary message posted via their official Twitter timeline following West Ham's 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge, the gambling firm - who have worked hard to engage with the club's supporters since forging the link with West Ham - called the decision to play Antonio at right back an "accident waiting to happen".

Slaven And whilst that opinion might chime with the club's fanbase, the vast majority of whom have called for Antonio to be restored to his favoured and most effective position - it will cause more than a modicum of embarrassment for the club.

Antonio, who was exceptional on the right flank during his first season in the Premier League was responsible for conceding the penalty that led to Chelsea's opening goal in tonight's clash.

The 26-year-old former Forest star was rewarded for his error by being immediately substituted by Slaven Bilic, who replaced him with Sam Byram.
