The Red Bull executive charged with overseeing the company's sporting investment has denied any involvement with or interest in West Ham United.
Oliver Mintzlaff, speaking to German magazine Kicker insisted that a story which appeared in The Sun over Christmas linking the drinks company with a move for West Ham had been completely fabricated."You have to know that, In my role, I would have been involved," Mintzlaff, who is responsible for the company's external investment told Thursday's edition. "But I'm not involved in anything, so I can totally exclude this.
"Meanwhile we continue to focus on the commitments of our previous clubs."
The Sun claimed in their Boxing Day edition that Red Bull had registered their interest in purchasing the club.
Within 24 hours both Red Bull and David Gold, on behalf of West Ham, had written off the story as false. However the son of partner David Sullivan insisted on twitter that the club had been the subject of an enquiry.
