Simone Zaza has completed a move to Valencia - less than six months after joining West Ham on a season-long loan.

The Italian international put weeks of speculation behind him by finally completing his move to Los Che this morning (Monday), having failed to impress during his brief stint in London.

The 25-year-old striker made 12 appearances for the Hammers since moving from Juventus last August but failed to score a single goal.

Indeed, his only goal at the Olympic Stadium came for his parent club during a pre-season friendly AGAINST West Ham, which Juventus won 3-2.

Slaven Bilic confirmed earlier this month that Zaza had indeed played his final game for West Ham. "We wanted Simone and he wanted to come but because of his contract, his story at West Ham is finished", he said.

"These things happen in football. He’s definitely a good player but it just wasn’t to be. With players it takes a few months or a year to adjust to the Premier League but we had to judge him on seven or eight games."
