Pre-match press conference: Slaven Bilic [video]

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic says that his team has to improve between now and the end of the season - starting against Leicester at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

Bilic and his team have come under intense criticism in recent weeks having failed to secure a win in any of their last four outings, repreating the dreadful early season form that saw West Ham stationed in the Premier League's relegation zone at one point.

However the manager maintains that his team will "bounce back" against an ebullient Leicester, fresh from their Champions League success in midweek.

"We have a game against Leicester and we have to bounce back. We are ready for that," he told the media at this morning's press conference.

"It is very important for us. We had turned the corner but it’s not finished because there are so many points and things to fight for between now and the end of the season.

“We only have one win in six and this is a good opportunity, because we are under pressure and we have to win the game. We believe that we can win the game and we’re going to do everything to win it."

Bilic also suggested that his team were perhaps too attacking in their last outing against Bournemouth - in stark contrast to his predecessor, who was often accsed of being too negative.

"Of course we have to improve. I am the first who wasn’t happy with the Bournemouth performance and the players know that," he added.

"They were not happy after the game in the dressing room either. Of course they were gutted, disappointed and frustrated and they know that we didn’t do well enough in that game.

"We played against a good opponent but when they missed the [first] penalty and we scored, we were in an ideal position to build on that but and we let it slip away. Then we conceded at the end of the game - a very naïve goal, from our point of view."
