Around 90 per cent of season ticket holders have renewed for next season - whilst 5,000 more supporters have decided not to return.
West Ham posted record renewal figures on Wednesday evening, the same day they confirmed record numbers of season ticket holder losses - one of the vagaries of moving to the Olympic Stadium this time last year.Unsurprisingly co-Chairman David Sullivan heralded the renewal rate - which saw some 47,000 of last season's 52,000 season ticket holders renew ahead of Wednesday evening's deadline - but chose not to mention the thousands of fans who have opted NOT to return to the stadium next season.
"Once again, our supporters have shown magnificent commitment and devotion to West Ham United," he said. "The season ticket renewal figure for next season only serves to emphasise that fact, but I am still amazed and overwhelmed by the loyalty and dedication of our supporters.
"They have followed us through thick and thin, and shown tremendous faith throughout the first season at our new home. Our focus now is to do everything we can to reward that faith with success on the pitch next season."
KUMB revealed earlier this week that thousands of supporters would not be renewing their season tickets; you may read their reasons for choosing not to renew on the KUMB Forum.
