Oxford completes Monchengladbach move

West Ham teenager Reece Oxford has completed his season-long loan move to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

Oxford, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Championship side Reading completed his medical yesterday with the deal finally being concluded today.

The 18-year-old is expected to effectively replace central defender Andreas Christensen, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Monchengladbacj from Chelsea.

"For us, this loan is the opportunity to add a highly interesting player to our squad," said Borussia sports director Max Eberl. "Especially as we have had very good experience with the commitment of junior players from the Premier League."
