The FA have charged West Ham United and Tottenham with failing to control their players during last weekend's derby clash at the Olympic Stadium.

Players from both sides came together after referee Michael Oliver failed to spot an elbow by Fernando Llorente, which led to an angry reaction from Andy Carroll and team mates.

A statement from the FA, released today, said: "It is alleged that in or around the 95th minute of the game, both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion."

The two clubs have until 6pm on Thursday, 28 September to respond to the charges. Five players were booked by Oliver during added-on time - Carroll, Llorente, Winston Reid, Andre Ayew and Eric Dier.

Meanwhile referee Oliver had been charged by West Ham fans with failing to spot two bloody obvious penalties - firstly for a shirt pull on Marko Arnautovic in the first half and a blatant push on Andy Carroll in the final seconds of the game.
