FA Cup third round draw: Hammers face Shrews

The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been made.

And West Ham will face Shrewsbury Town on the weekend of 6/7 January. The full draw was as follows:

Birmingham City V Burton Albion
Liverpool v Everton
Brighton & Hove Albion v Crystal Palace
Aston Villa v Woking or Peterborough Utd
AFC Bournemouth v AFC Flyde or Wigan Athletic

Newport County v Leeds Utd
Bolton Wanderers v Huddersfield Town
Port Vale or Yeovil Town v Bradford City
Nottingham Forest v Arsenal
Brentford v Notts County
Queens Park Rangers v MK Dons
Manchester Utd v Derby County
Forest Green or Exeter City v WBA
Doncaster Rovers v Slough Town or Rochdale
Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Wimbledon
Middlesbrough v Sunderland
Fleetwood Town or Hereford v Leicester City

West Ham have only met Shrewsbury on four occasions previously, all in the old Division 2, with each side boasting two wins:

Dec 1979: Shrewsbury 3-0 West Ham Utd
Apr 1980: West Ham Utd 1-3 Shrewsbury

Sep 1980: West Ham Utd 3-0 Shrewsbury
Feb 1981: Shrewsbury 0-2 West Ham Utd
