Bolton Wanderers have asked West Ham if they would be willing to loan central defender Reece Burke for the second time this season.

The 21-year-old returned from a half-season loan at the Macron Stadium at the end of December before featuring for the Hammers in their recent FA Cup fixtures against Shrewsbury and Wigan Athletic.

However with Jose Fonte close to a first team return, his chances under David Moyes are likely to be limited and Bolton feel they can offer Burke the first team football he seeks, for the remainder of the current campaign.

The Newham-born Academy star made 15 appearances for Wanderers during his five month spell on loan in the opening half of the season, scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-2 draw against Reading in November.
