Patrice Evra is set to become the EIGHTH oldest player to feature for West Ham United in the Premier League.

The former French international completed a free transfer to West Ham earlier today, at the age of 36, and will become one of the oldest players to represent the club since the Premier League began in 1992.

West Ham's list of oldest players - as listed below - featured three goalkeepers, four defenders, one midfielder two strikers - including current First Team Coach Stuart Pearce, who played his last game for the club a few weeks after celebrating his 39th birthday.

Although striker Teddy Sheringham is the oldest player to represent West Ham in the new format his record is eclipsed by Hammers legend Billy Bonds, who joined West Ham from Charlton as a 21-year-old before finally hanging up his boots in 1988 at the age of 41 years, 226 days.
