Cresswell topping the charts

Aaron Cresswell has been involved in more goals scored at the right end than any other Premier League defender.

The left-back, who has also been operating in central defence during West Ham's recent injury crisis scored his first goal of the season with a cleverly-taken free kick against Manchester City in last weekend's 4-1 defeat at the Olympic Stadium.

Yet prior to that he had already provided a division-leading tally of seven assists - more than any other defender in the Premier League so far this season.

With West Ham having scored 43 goals in the league during the current campaign, Cresswell can claim assists for a very healthy 16 per cent - or one every five games.

The 28-year-old is only considered to be an outside bet for a place in Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad this summer, but both the national boss and and David Moyes at West Ham will be hoping he can continue in a similarly-productive vein for the remaining three games of the campaign.
