Several affiliated members of West Ham United Supporters Club have been denied access to a vital vote on the Club's future.

A number of Supporters Club members attending a Special General Meeting at the Boleyn Pub, on the corner of Green St and Barking Road, were both disappointed and angered to discover that they were being were denied access to the gathering.

And as a result, they have been denied the opportunity to vote on the future of the Club - despite being legitimate members.

"I've just been refused entry to the meeting," wrote Neil Scott on Twitter. "They are working from clearly out of date records. Still saying if you joined at Stour Space you are not a member... even though forms and membership cards show differently!"

Fellow members Paul Turner was another of those denied access. "I tried to enter the meeting at the Boleyn Pub today," he wrote. "Was refused entry as I signed up online."

The meeting is being staged to determine whether the club, which left its traditional home in Castle St E6 this season for Stour Space, should continue as a going concern.

Some members of the club's committee stand to profit to the tune of many thousands of pounds should the club be closed. It is believed these individuals are behind the decision to refuse entry to a number of supporters, the vast majjority of whom intended to vote to keep the club open.
