Rising Tyde on sale now

Lifelong Hammers fan and KUMB Forum moderator Mark White has released his new book, 'Rising Tyde'.

Mark's second release, which is available now in both paperback and digital download format centres on a former soldier who finds himself thrust into a pancontinental plot.

Yet, as Mark - who can also be found keeping the peace on the KUMB Forum - readily admits, he still found time to include a number of references to West Ham in the book!

"This is my second book, the first in a series," Mark told KUMB. "It's about a ex-special forces soldier called Paul Tyde who finds himself homeless in London, who meets a female freelance photographer called Ashley.

"They get mixed up in a plot by east London-based African Terrorists based, who are looking to cause chaos in the Congo. Their involvement takes them to Europe and the Middle East, where they must fight to prevent an old weapon being used to destabilise the fragile peace between Israel and Palestine.

"The book took a year to write and was influenced by spending time in Central London before going to West Ham. I would see lots of homeless people around, wonder what their story was and what it would take to give them some self-worth.

"There are some subtle references to West Ham United in the book and I indulged myself in the first chapter of the next book by having us beating Arsenal away. The joy of writing fiction is I can have success on the field regardless of who owns us."

* Rising Tyde may be purchased via Amazon, priced at 5.99 for the paperback version or just 99p for the digital Kindle version.
