West Ham United have confirmed that the installation of all outstanding commemorative stones will begin this week.

Despite previously promising to have all stones installed at the new stadium by the end of March, many supporters are still waiting for theirs to be laid.

However in an email to those affected, West Ham have confirmed that all outstanding 'Champions Place' installations will be completed between Monday, 30 July and Friday, 17 August.

"We’re pleased to confirm that your commemorative stone is due to be installed imminently as part of the next installation phase at Champions Place," read an email sent to affected fans.

"Once all stones have been installed, we will then begin to catalogue their locations and will send confirmation by email to provide you with a reference point alongside a map to help you locate your own Champions Place stone.

"Please be advised that the full cataloguing process may take up to 14 days and therefore we will be in touch to provide the exact location of your stone no later than Friday 31st August at 5pm."

The news has been widely welcomed by supporters, some of whom have had to wait up to FOUR YEARS for news - including KUMB member baggs1981.

"I ordered a Champions Place stone for my Dad back when they first did them - 18th December 2014 to be precise," he wrote on the KUMB Forum. "The stone is still not there - yes, I've checked on a sober day! Others have also checked for me."
