West Ham are interested in signing Le Havre's exciting young centre half Harold Moukoudi.

According to the Mail, the Hammers have already opened talks with the French club with regards to a £10million deal for the defender, who is also said to have been courted by the likes of Burnley, Brighton and Derby County.

* Everton are reported to be considering making a (paltry?) offer of £3million for Academy graduate Reece Oxford, according to Sky Sports.

The defender, whose salary is worth in excess of £1million per year has been made surplus to requirements by West Ham. He was the subject of a rejected £12million offer by Red Bull Leipzig back in January and is also on the radar of Monchengladbach, with whom he spent last season on loan.

* Pedro Obiang is still being linked with a return to Serie A side Sampdoria, despite West Ham having sold fellow central midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate to Crystal Palace earlier in the week.

The two clubs are understood to have agreed a fee worth in the region of £10million for the former Spanish Under 21 international, who cost West Ham £4.3million when moving from Italy to England three summers ago.

* Newcastle United are understood to have joined West Ham in the hunt to sign Lille midfielder Thiago Maia.

The Hammers were reported to have had an offer in the region of £20million accepted by the Ligue 1 side for the Brazilian, but the North East club are ready to offer Maia an alternative destination by launching a similarly-sized bid.
