450 for two tickets to Brighton!

A number of supporters have reported that their credit cards have been overcharged whilst attempting to purchase match day tickets from West Ham United.

Earlier today supporters trying to purchase tickets for the Premier League trip to Brighton next month suffered a string of problems as a result of issues with West Ham's online payment processing.

And consequently several fans were charged up to FIVE times for the same purchase as the club's credit card processing app either froze at the payment stage or completely failed to complete the order.

However supporters, when re-applying for tickets were later shocked to discover they had been charged more than once - with one KUMB member having been charged FIVE times for the same pair of tickets with 450 having been debited from his bank account.

Unfortunately he was not the only supporter to be charged on multiple occasions. "I tried at 4pm, went to the payment screen, this froze and the countdown timed me out," wrote KUMB member marshboy.

"I went on again and the same thing happened. When I looked at my credit card app I noticed that payment had been taken twice."

Supporters who have purchased tickets from West Ham United's online box office today are therefore urged to check their credit card statements in order to ensure they haven't similarly been overcharged. West Ham have been contacted for comment.
