West Ham United are reported to be preparing for talks with Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson.

The 24-year-old has been made available for transfer by the French club following their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League, which has resulted in a 'cost-cutting' exercise at Marseille.

And one of the players likely to pay for that is the €30million-rated Sanson, who was brought to the Orange Velodrome via Montpellier two years ago in a €12million deal and is set to hold talks with West Ham regarding a potential move to England.

Yet to feature for the senior squad, Sanson - who is currently on holiday in Cancun - has represented his nation 18 times at youth level. He featured for his club on 36 occasions last season, chipping in with five goals (all in Ligue 1, see video below).

Tottenham expressed an interest in signing the player this time last year, whilst fellow Premier League sides Wolves and Newcastle have likewise been offered the opportunity to sign Sanson this summer.
