We want to keep improving, says Cresswell

West Ham goalscorer Aaron Cresswell says that the Hammers were happy with a point at Bournemouth - although he believes the team can still improve further.

United's much improved form - in the Premier League, at least! - has seen Manuel Pellegrini's squad rise to third spot in the table, making them London's highest-ranked club at present.

And Cresswell, who scored for the second league game in succession at Dean Court this afternoon hopes that West Ham's excellent start to the current campaign isn't just a temporary improvement.

"It’s another game without defeat, and [keeping that run going] is what we want to do," the number three told West Ham's website.

"We want to improve on the season we had last year. We didn’t start well then, but finished well and we’ve continued that into this season. Hopefully that can continue."

Even though they took an early lead against The Cherries, through Andriy Yarmolenko, the Hammers were forced to come from behind in order to take a point from today's game.

But Cresswell feels that it was the very least the Hammers deserved for a performance full of energy and attacking intent.

"It was two good teams going head-to-head," he surmised. "The game was certainly open with plenty of chances at both ends, so a draw is most probably a fair result.

"I think, in the circumstances, we’re happy to take a point. They had a good spell in the game in the second half and then so did we - and a point away from home is never a bad result."
