West Ham erase 'GSB Out' logo

West Ham United were heavily criticised recently after the club banned a supporter for wearing a t-shirt bearing the slogan 'GSB Out'.

Yet the club's media team have been working overtime in order to ensure their website features no further traces of the same offending item.

The offending logo

An article on West Ham's website at whufc.com, in which Mark Noble praises the efforts of Pablo Fornals, features an image of the Spanish midfielder celebrating in front of the away fans at Anfield.

Yet one eagle-eyed KUMB Forum member noticed the image has since been amended in order to remove the presence one of the club's most ardent away supporters who, in the original image, was wearing a GSB Out t-shirt.

As you can see below, the original image - as taken by CameraSport's Richard Martin-Roberts - included the celebrating supporter resplendent in a blue 'GSB Out' t-shirt.

Yet the same supporter is missing entirely from the amended, close-up version of the image which now appears both on whufc.com's home page and the Noble article itself...

Where did he go? The offending t-shirt was removed from West Ham's home page once its presence was discovered

Going, going, gone: the logo has also been removed from the club's Mark Noble article

The lengths to which the club are going in order to erase any reference to Monday night's protest, staged by supporters group Hammers United has caused much amusement to fans posting on the KUMB Forum, where it was pointed out that West Ham's website had inadvertently included the image.

And the club's media team will no doubt be working overtime this weekend when West Ham host Southampton in Stratford as hundreds of fans, who will be attending the next anti-board demonstration prior to the match, are expected to be wearing GSB Out t-shirts.
