It's deadline day part two - and West Ham, as things stand, are on schedule to make just one final signing.
Said Benrahma, who underwent the first part of a medical yesterday is set to complete his move to West Ham at some point during the day, the last on which players can be signed from the EFL and below. However in order to be eligible to feature against Tottenham on Sunday in the weekend's big London derby, the deal must be pushed through by lunchtime at the very latest.
David Moyes - who returns to the dugout for Sunday's trip to north London following his recovery from Covid-19 - is expected to confirm the arrival of Benrahma when he speaks to the media around lunchtime.
However the chances of the 25-year-old winger being joined by any fellow new arrivals is unlikely - despite West Ham's recent interest in Bournemouth's Norwegian forward Josh King.
Although the Hammers are reported to have recently offered £13million for the Championship goalscorer, his current club have placed a price tag of £18million on his head.
Yet with King out of contract at the end of the current season, that fee is believed to be flexible - hence it is by no means certain that King with still be at Bournemouth when the 5pm transfer deadline passes later today.
