Speaking to whufc.com, she said: “It was definitely a day I’ll never forget. It was a very proud moment for me to make my debut and a dream come true.

“As soon as Olli [Harder] told me to get ready, I just couldn’t wait to get on I was dying to get on the pitch. I want to say a massive thank you to him for believing in me and having the trust to put me on the pitch.

“I’ve had to work unbelievably hard to get to where I am, and I don’t think there’s anyone who knows actually how hard I’ve worked but it’s definitely been worth it and it’s something I’ll continue to do.

“Pre-season was tough but really good and I’ve definitely learnt lots and improved as a player so it’s nice to be rewarded from the work in pre-season.

“I’m really enjoying my time here in east London," she continued. "It’s a big step but I’m always looking to challenge myself in order to improve.

"I think I’m in a really good position, you’re a product of your environment and for me I think I’m in a good place having good people around me who I’m learning from every single day.

“I’m still trying to get used to the Cockney accent and I get a lot of stick for mine too! But the girls have been really welcoming and I’ve settled in quickly.

“I think for me it’s all about developing, and I think being patient plays a huge role in it. Everyday I’m looking at the players around me thinking about what I can I take from the experiences that they’ve had and what I can take from game to put into my game.

"Hopefully if I keep pushing myself and working hard, there will be more minutes to come," the young midfielder concluded.
