Re: Black pudding

Strangest starter for a restaurant meal was black pudding with a slice of orange. Not a fan of sweet fruit with meat, but it wasn't bad at all. Got a memory of my Mum cooking it and I definitely liked the large, white gristly bits. Is that real Black Pudding? Not yer Matteson's mush.

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Was at this fixture last year. Closer than 1-3 suggests but it was 'all over' before the end. They're doing worse now than at that time, so got to be a win imo.

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

They can't cancel Japan v Scotland without this and future tournaments losing a lot of credibility. Big dilemma though as you can't concertina matches be cause of the effects on players, but prolonging it will leave a lot of visiting fans out in the cold.

Re: Today i bumped into...

Cheating cos it isn't me, but literally a 'friend of a friend' in Brighton yesterday. She was in an antique shop ('Snoopers Paradise') and her dog got tangled in a man's leg. Turned out it was Alice Cooper having a look round before that evening's show. Quaint story though isn't it?

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Hodgson expressing (subtly) doubts about how much the 'millimetres' should count in decisions. Pellers a bit wrong in saying Palace 'created no chances from open play' when their last goal was exactly that. Ah well. Think the Rice decision was correct.

Did MOTD really need to show Lloris' injury from two different angles? (walked out of the room before the second one)

We so often fluff our lines when the chance to push on is in front of us. Big test tonight, can we show real progress as a team.
Yep hope our allergy to success doesn't break out tonight

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Bit too much of a score gap for that to be a thriller. Did take ages for England to get to the try line after the sending off. Japan / Samoa has been a good one.

Tend to think that if you're a lawyer or accountant employed by a business to act in the best interests of that firm then you're obliged to do your best to defend against anything that can possibly be defended. ' Can't blame someone for doing their job ' as it goes. Seems heartless on the outside. T...

Re: The Non Racist Crap Joke Thread

Staying in a small pension in the hills of Spain, I became violently ill halfway through the night. Amazingly, there was a doctor there and he set me right quickly. When I told him how surprised I was that they had a doctor, he said: No one expects the Spanish-inn physician.

Had a feeling that Aus would claw their way back into this. Not many 'errors' but Wales just gave away a needless 3 points
