We have plenty of good players.
Yep, like many other clubs. The tooth-rot goes much deeper, it seems. RARS is bang on. The board don't even know they're doing it, just kidding themselves and, in effect, us.

I have a sneaky feeling we might lose this one.
Where's your backbone? A few defeats and injuries, a little dip in players' confidence, a fan base who are are are mildly teed off. Pah! We'll surge back and... ohfuckIcan'tpretendanymore :(

Treated to Zereshk Polo Morgh (ok, chicken and rice) + Kashk -e-bademjon + Mirza Ghasemi and lashings of doogh (buttermilk) at a Persian restaurant. I can hardly move and there's doggy bags in the fridge.

Re: Too many games

Have closer look at what he and Klopp are talking about. They’re talking about there being a bit more common sense and joined up thinking with regards to competitions and fixtures. Are two legs really needed for the league cup semi finals?? Of course not (same as they weren’t for 2nd round games li...

Does anyone else remember the time pretty much everybody changed their avatar to Amsterhammer's picture? Yes! And someone else (goes2eleven?) re-worked the Being John Malkovich film poster to Being Amsterdammer , replete with multiple pics of his fizzog. I'm getting pics on FB of he & the Amsterdam...

George Levine: Amsterhammer

Some (maybe many?) of you will remember Amsterhammer, who hasn't been here since 2006, but was a regular. I got the sad news that he passed away a few hours ago. He had been under treatment for cancer for about the last 18 months. Initially he was 'cleared', then it resurfaced last autumn and he got...

Re: Little things that irritate you

My father-in-law had dementia, him and others in his care home towards the end had multiple medical problems, no idea which planet they were on or who anyone was and were doubly incontinent. In a way it was a blessing that he couldn't remember how he used to be, but it was heartbreaking to see such...
