Big team mentality, Small chairman delusion

The Burnley result got me thinking. We have employed a successful high profile manager who rightly wants to instill a big team mentality and have a board who spout on about taking us to the next level. Both underpinned presumably by the fact weve got a shiny new ground with 60,000, which in practice...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

I watched Liverpool vs City yesterday and was struck by several things The high tempo and pressing game they both employ but particularly Liverpool. Ability and creativity to find teammates in tight spaces Stamina and fitness of both squads, which was immense.. ..Both teams are light years ahead of ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

As some have already eluded to, Im constantly perplexed by our playing of Anderson and Yarmelenko on what to many would seem to be the wrong sides of the pitch. In practice it just means both have to turn inside to deliver any kind of cross which invariably travels in the direction of the oppo keepe...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Something has happened. Don’t know what and don’t know why. But something around the time of the Oxford game has totally ****ed us. Don’t know if the management were influenced around that time or put under pressure but we’ve gone from arguably the best side since 86/87 to relegation fodder. Someth...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

Agree, think he does a lot of things well. Quietly goes about his business. I think he`ll improve constantly as he adjusts to the pace of the Prem. The guy oozes class, luckily he dosen`t feel like he needs to shout about it. Long long time since weve had a striker with his potential and level head....

Re: If there was no West Ham ?

Presumably many would just support their local team.. Colchester for me. Its the camoraderie and banter as well as the team, being a part of a family if you will. That said I can understand those wanting to turn their backs on football altogether in fairness.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Think business to date has been smart and with a clear plan. Based on what we have seen I think possibly Oxford and Hughill still to go from the deadwood and hopefully Sanchez godwilling. Think thats it for outgoings. Incomings almost certainly one more striker and hopefully a DM again thats about i...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Im a big fan of Chica, ..Just sayin. Confidence player, but proper fox in the box, and class, you never lose that. Wouldnt want him running/holding the line though. Need a big fella for that... In summary if sold, I dont think we could replace for better for the fee, therefore weakens the overall st...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I have a very pragmatic view of interest in the likes of Diop. For me it says a couple of things, one, are recruitment under Pelle is clearly successful, he and his scouting team are probably the best we’ve had. And secondly, without big clubs looking at our players and valuing them way beyond what ...

Re: A question of content

Boss, Obvs KUMB is my goto site. However I think more info on stats and matchday info might be something to look at. I often use Sofascore on match days for this. Kumbers often cite player stats and match facts and so to have this in one place would be useful as a reference. For discussion and gener...
