Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

When's he emerging from his self imposed "Covid" isolation?

When the P45s for a load of rampant party loving Civil servants have been drafted?

When Operation Save Big Dogs has come up with a new 3 word slogan that he can remember?

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

It is really difficult. His run is perfect if the ball doesn't deflect. Once it does, it is a tough one and chesting with any control is tough unless you are Ibra. 99 times out of 100 that ball bobbles over the line off his chest. The deflection stopped him being able to head it so he had to improv...

Re: Cricket English Summer 2021 + Ashes

Galling thing is that Warner, Smith and to a lesser extent Labushagne had pretty average series yet nearly everyone around them stepped up. Green looks like he could be a genuinely all time great all rounder, Khawaja comes in and scores a ton and Boland makes debut and we make him look like Mcgrath ...

I really like Antonio as a character, but his control and passing has been shocking for months.

I do think a lot of it is down to physical and mental fatigue, as Moyes says.
And we probably still haven't identified a player to come in and compete for his place.

Might as well pack him off back home. Clearly not fancied or we're avoiding contract clauses like the plague.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Diop wasn't great in his first season...got dropped towards the end for constantly switching off and not doing the basics.

He's not going to get any better and I think today's performance was probably an all time low.

I do wonder sometimes though why we bought a really expensive central attacking midfielder to play left-wing.
We've ****ed out 25-30m on a bloke who we never play in his favourite position.

A head scratcher of a signing to be honest...

Having a proper Schemmel/Ilunga this season.

The full back curse goes on.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Because we managed to concede three to a Leeds side who average a goal a game? That's exactly my point. We wouldn't been chasing the game if our defence wasn't so bad. If we seriously want to kick on we need both. Chasing 4th and our only option off the bench up top is Yarmolenko. A top left sided ...

Re: Cricket English Summer 2021 + Ashes

For what it's worth player ratings out of 10. Burns - 2. Technique exposed by the Aussies and his fielding was poor. Set the scene for the series for England with the first ball, came back in and couldn't be arsed to dive to save his wicket and then his odd technique cost him his wicket today when h...

Our owners are very unlikely going to budget us for both.

We've dropped points at home against Brentford, Leeds, Southampton, totally average teams where our defence has cost. We score plenty.
Yet we had to bring on Yarmolenko to huff and puff along with a young kid to try and rescue a game.

One to forget today. Making a complete hash for their 3rd and getting subbed immediately with his shirt over his face summed it up.

That 3rd goal. From the moment Diop got the ball he was almost falling over, nearly ran it straight to a Leeds player then plays a slack pass to Vlasic who makes a pigs ear out of it completely.

Over 50m for the pair of them... :eh:

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If we don't sign an alternative to Antonio, there is something deeply wrong at the club. They can't keep saying their preferred options aren't available. Find someone else. They're stubbornly obsessing over perfect, and ending up with the insane position of having an injury prone and inconsistent 3...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Dire all round.

Diop was abysmal but Cresswell and Coufal were also poor. Midfield all over the place and Antonio had one of his all too frequent stinkers.

Leeds had hardly a side to put out and rinsed us at times.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

We also haven't had a scouting network for years  Moyes is only just trying to get one off the ground. One of the most experienced managers in the PL can't identify a defender better than Diop? Lets be honest, the summer window has been a bit of a mess aswell. Overpaid for Vlasic by at least 1...

Diop going off for Perkins.

Probably one of the worst defensive performances seen for years.
