Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

The BBC have him alongside Lewis Dunk and Conor Gallagher in the “work to do” bracket. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68671206 And yet Joe Gomez is 'almost there', I don't know what anyone sees in that player, definition of average IMO. As it stands, I'd say Bowen's place is his to lose. Also...

Re: Golf: too close for comfort

This is an accident waiting to happen - you see them legging it to get near the ball when it lands from a tee shot then literally within a yard or 2 of the eventual path of the ball.

I've also been hit like JBB, on the arm, jaysus it was painful.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

I saw you saying is it safe to celebrate, but didn't have it in me to tell you it wasn't. ****ing joke. This is the worst part, unless a player scores a direct free kick or a long range shot then it's near impossible to celebrate as you know there'll be the chance of: -foul in the buildup -someone'...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

We lost that game, not because of VAR decisions, but because our manager yet again made negative substitutions. Classic respect the frigging point. He is far too negative - sick to death of him and one of the reasons I didn’t go today. This game was so winnable - didn’t think much of Villa - we sho...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

Should limit these VAR interventions to 2 mins. If you can't come up with a decision in that time then on you go. Otherwise it's clearly not clear & obvious.

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24

I think Atalanta might shock Liverpool I follow Serie A (living in Italy n whatnot) and I think you might be right. Gasperini (Atalanta coach) is no mug and he'll know what to do to stifle the scousers before bringing them back home. Think it was the same match a few years ago that was given as the...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

My memory of West Ham, as a 38 year old, is generally average to poor football, average to poor results, average to poor finishing position. The guy does tend to get results. The difference between him and previous managers is that cr*ppy football meant cr*ppy result in previous times. At least now,...

Re: Darts - anyone interested.

Humpries wins week 7. Smashes the bully boy 6-3. Smith has looked a shadow of his former self recently, as has Littler - who shoulf be staying off the Kebabs and x box and practicing his darts. He's certainly not hitting that double 20/10 like he used to. Looks like he took your advice! Wins the Be...

Re: Other Matches 9 March - 14 March

Just flipped on Genoa v Monza. Some pre game atmosphere they have at Genoa. Looks like it would be a great place to watch a game. I live in Genoa, go to Sampdoria games a few times a season where it's largely the same, they share a stadium. You can sit (or stand), you're about 15 yards from the pit...

No problem with the decision as long as when the inevitable happens next week and we're on the receiving end, the same thing happens

Well this is hardly tie over at 1-0, but really could do with nicking a goal before this is out or else they're really going to park the bus next week / dive and make a meal of everything

Re: Other games (fwiw) 2/3/4 March

Liverpool on for the quadruple having to play West Ham in the Europa League final and West Ham win with an offside goal, that has a handball in the build up and a blatant push on 'Trent' with them having at least 2 good goals chalked off by VAR. If Heineken did Europa League finals ...... Small add...
