Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Called in to the specialist hospital tomorrow afternoon. As usual, they were vague. I was discharged ok and have been fine ever since so hopefully it’s just a check up.

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

Citeh sit literally at the top of a rotten, corrupt pile, and honestly, I hope eventually they are relegated and completely stripped of their trophies. I’d love to truthfully know what your agenda with us actually is. I’m fairly certain you’ve launched some staggering attacks on City a few times no...

I’ve watched Rangers, Liverpool and Arsenal today. The tv is going off shortly so I can rest!

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

been a vegetarian for over 35 years now. I attribute my "better" health to being one. of course that might be just in my mind. my overall diet is pretty good, I don't drink sodas, haven't for ages. stuff with loads of additives I don't eat either. It’s certainly forced me to become a more...

My bowels are good too. I’m 100% vegetarian now which has helped hugely with my physical wellbeing.

Re: Anything nice to say about Millwall?

We had some noted trouble with them in the late 90’s so I’ve never liked them.

I went in the away end there with Hereford maybe fifteen years ago and it’s one of the loudest grounds I’ve ever been to. They made the noise of three times the attendance easily.

I country hop at international level. For Azerbaijan and Armenia in recent years I’ve used Turkey and Cyprus respectively as initial bases.

City are at Real Madrid tomorrow and some travel packages do it in 24 hours! If I’d have gone then it would’ve been there Sunday and back Wednesday.

Re: Five Countries

Up until the invasion, I’d have liked to have gone to Russia. I’ve seen influence in places like Georgia, Armenia etc. Regardless of them paying to rebuild Ukraine, I’ll never go there. It was difficult queuing for my flight from Yerevan to Istanbul when there were flights to Moscow on the next desks.

I’d recommend both Hungary and Serbia. I only went to Budapest and Belgrade respectively but they were good trips.

Re: Little things that irritate you

A weekend in South Wales looks like it’ll cost too much and take forever to get to. Going abroad seems far more appealing.

Occasionally but it’d be match - out - hotel then home the next day.

Only Bournemouth and Brighton would appeal for a weekend this season.

Couple of mentions for Georgia. I had three nights in Tbilisi and would recommend. It’s unlike anywhere else you’ve ever been.

There is a strong link between Wales and Argentina. It sounds incredibly unbelievable but is very true.

RE: Lasagnegate. The Tottenham players never had food poisoning after all? It was a virus… I did some Googling.

Is it one of those urban myths that the chef was arrested?

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

When I’ve the energy, I might head across to North Wales to buy the new Welsh football shirts. I could soon order them online but a day trip seems better. Food out in a fun pub. Maybe a beer. Having something to look forwards to is always nice. I like the sensation of getting up in the morning to go...

It’s been forced on me but I’ve not had a drink for about two and a half weeks. I don’t really miss it save the social side. There’s no alcohol in the fridge which helps.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Alcohol is a depressant and can make a dark mood much darker, IMO. This comes from experience. I live alone. It’s especially bad at present because I’m recovering from stoma reversal surgery and can’t do a great deal. Once I’m fit for work again then I’ll be out five days per week and either out soc...

Getting past the gatekeeper, eh? Culture should change where more and more can be done by phone or pharmacy freeing up appointments for those that need them.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

I was discharged a week ago but am absolutely exhausted still. I’m spending all my awake time horizontal with the exception of making basic food. I don’t recall how bad I was last time as I’ve tried to block most of that out. On a more positive note, I was pleased to be able to tell my stoma bag sup...

City have added around 5% to Seasoncards for 2024/25 so it’s not just yourselves doing this.
