Re: Midweek Games April 9-11
not 100% mate but I think they either refined or changed the rule. IF the foul continues into the area, I "think" it's considered a penalty. maybe one of the refs on here can confirm but something sticks into my mind that they amended it so that defenders didn't foul outside the box and c...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Yes, sure, but only a start. That doesn't actually do anything in the 'holding to account' stakes, it appears. Disagree. The fact that 8,000 or 12,000 or whatever it was marched along the Greenway made a significant start. Unfortunately the majority may have been razzle dazzled again and didn't fol...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
... The counter attacking element of our game on Thursday was totally ineffective, in large part due to Paqueta's ineffectiveness and the lopsided nature of our wide players which was obviously not helped by Bowen's absence. Yes, those plus the Kudus miss. Compare that effort with Foden's goal the ...

Jeez - not this ****ing drivel about possession again. Possession % is not the cause, it's the effect.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I don't think anyone would suggest that. However, the Duff Duchess is clearly useless and needs to be packed off so that someone competent can build the club's commercial side, which is where increased financial clout will mainly come from..

To all Wastham fans, welcome to Leverkusen (future German champion)! I have read in several forums that there have been requests for restaurants. And indeed it is difficult to find restaurants near the Bay Arena (except MC Donald). I wanted to give you two tips that are about a 5-minute walk from t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I am not disputing the position in the table. That is because we are a very effective attacking team when we are able to have enough control of the game to allow our counter attacking style to work, and when we commit to it in terms of speed, numbers and being less cautious We are pretty woeful at ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Yes of course But the fact that it happens so often when we are winning suggests it isn't proving effective and we need to be better and nullifying the swing in momentum that occurs. we can't just accept that it has to be that way, IMHO their penalty we a result of about 15 minutes of concerted pre...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
but once we went 3-1 we retreated into a shell (way before the penalty). We stopped looking for opportunities for quick breaks in numbers and instead were happy to defend deep and protect what we had reather than looking for more goals. Apologies for only picking this out, but surely that is just t...
