Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Every time I see them they are very well drilled, energetic and combative. 2-1 to them, the midfield failing to show up again.

Re: January

I think Ajeti is meant to be a replacement for Hernandez, and on the very scant viewing of his 15 minutes yesterday, he at least made a couple of decent runs. I think we need a 'keeper; my suspicion is that Fabianski is perhaps going to be injury prone and the other two are cheap fillers. I would of...

January

What's the feeling ? Minimal spend? What should we do? Personally, I think the reserve 'keeper appears a bit leaden-footed whilst Fabianski has now had two injuries. I think there's a probable need to reconfigure midfield and add a bit of pace into the attack. I'd definitely bring Diangana back. Odd...

Re: Pablo Fornals

In fairness, he got himself into the right positions in that 15/20 minutes after half time, but his execution let him down.

It did, however, seem to have an adverse effect on Lanzini.

Fornals looks a little out of his depth. However, I got it wrong with Anderson, so I'm hoping he can turn it around sooner rather than later.
Anderson is okay - but he's nowhere near £45m worth.

Fornals? He's been awful so far.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Rice is being hung out to dry, Crouchie. Our players got caught in possession 20 times today and whenever they rolled forward Rice was essentially there with the back 4 hoping to hold the fort. Noble, Fornals, Lanzini were awful. Part of the reason for that is that they shouldn't all be on the pitch...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Our players aren't lazy, they aren't unfit - they are just all clumped together in an unbalanced midfield that is naturally slow. We play 4-1-4-1, and TBH, with the exception of Arfur - the 4-1.....-1 did what they could today - but the midfield was absolutely shocking and this formation relies on t...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Pellegrini's preference in midfield is abysmal. Last year, it took a string of defeats for him to realise that he had to have a Snodgrass or Obiang in there to balance it off. We're completely wasting a gift of a start. The signing of Fornals looks odder by the game. It's not just his general 5/10 p...

Hoping Pellers is capable of a hair dryer to wake up us.
He was culpable for the late loss at Palace, and his midfield selection here is baffling.

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

At a bare minimum, one of Fornals or Lanzini off to allow Yarmy on. I'd probably add Snodders or Wilshere as well.

We're lucky to be only 1 down, but our midfield is disjointed and contributing nothing at either end of the pitch.

Fabianski saves the goal...so would Jussi, Randolph and Adrian.

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

With the honourable exception of Haller, who in that team scores goals?

The five behind the CF need to start delivering.

Re: Czech Republic vs England

Maguire and Trippier both would too. Fredericks isn't near him, Maguire is better than both our first choice centre backs. Diop's ceiling is probably higher but he's not there yet. Trippier is starring in a Diego Simeone side, he's definitely making our defence. And at least 3 of that defence would...

Re: Czech Republic vs England

Most of the back 5 are bottom half PL, and having the good fortune to play with De Bruyne, Aguero, Salah doesn't make the supporting cast stars.

They just finished 4th in the World Cup.
Luck of the draw.

Think about this.... Danny Rose is the only one of the back 5 who would walk into our team.

Surely if England don't have any then west ham don't have any either so why do you think we would beat England ?
We have better players and a better blend.

Jordan Pickford... Michael Keane... Harry Maguire... seriously...

Re: Czech Republic vs England

West Ham would beat England.

England have been crap for years; a lucky run to the WC SF shouldn't disguise the fact that every decent team beat them without taking their slippers off. England don't have a single top drawer player. Not one.

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

I think we can safely say that the club has no intention of buying a left back for many years, and if Johnson comes through at RB, they won't do anything on that side either.

TBF to Cresswell, he's been much better in the last three games than he's been for years.

Not my route so I've never seen it.

Most people I know who end up with a spare ticket can't give it away.
Must have been 10 of them there Saturday night - right next to the station.

God knows what Plod are up to.
