Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

The most annoying thing in some ways is that it only takes a little bit more nous in the transfer market and within games and we could be top 6. The difference between Europe and Relegation in this league so far is a bit of judgement and managerial nous.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

Wolves finished 7th last year and they are 5th this year...they are a bit better than average.

As for us.....we need Fabianski and Antonio back - and the big decision is how much of the £53m spent on Haller and Ajeti can they get back, and how quickly?

They've got to spin the wheel.

Can’t see us scoring tbh.
That's the issue.

The game's fairly even matched in terms of possession and shots on target - they have a slight edge , but not a gulf.

We're almost at the point where Cresswell is our most reliable goalscorer

Martin has had very little to do.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

We're not playing that badly, but some of the players don't appear to be on the same wavelength.

The goal was a bit soft.

Re: Bob Willis RIP

Proper sad.

Bob, Beefy, Dilley, Boycott, Gower, Goochie, Bob Woolmer, Chris Old, Emburey and Edmonds, David Steele, Deadly Derek Underwood, Arkle Randall...seems like yesterday, can still remember the counties they played for and all that...

Bit of childhood that's gone. Like I say, proper sad.

Sign up to Amazon Prime for 30-day free trial. Once you have the confirmation, then cancel it straightaway. You will still get the rest of the 30 days free - but that way you won't forget to cancel it before they charge you. Boxing Day fixtures are on as well, aren't they? Can't remember who we've ...

Re: Angelo Ogbonna

Another good performance yesterday. I felt something was very odd in the way that Oggy and Fred copped for the team's abysmal performance at Everton when they were a couple who emerged with some credit in an other wise dreadful team effort. Felt that was a big mistake at the time by the manager. Tha...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Unless we are in the poo (relegation wise) and we are free of major injuries I cannot see us buying anybody. We have already f**ked up finishing top 6/7 so why spend gazillions in January to finish say 10th? We're 4 points off the top 5 and from a relegation place. Standing still will be a big risk...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Cresswell has had a pretty decent season this year. So has Fredericks at right back. Both clearly deserve to start at the moment.

Arfur was good pre-sending off. Zabaleta has been the weakest link.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

It's all about three things for me; 1) A physically imposing and energetic all round central mid; 2) Bringing Diangana back; 3) Replacing Zabaleta with a younger challenger to Fred (who is a perfectly able PL RB) We could, perhaps, shuffle in another striker. Batshuayi? Last 18 months of his contract.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

It's hard to overstate how important Antonio has become to Pellegrini, and how much difference it makes when the goalkeeper doesn't chuck a couple in his own net every game.

Heads still need to roll in regard to what went on with the summer signings.

Better than recent weeks, but we still look like we have we have three or four on the pitch who are just not winning anything competitively.

Re: Hillsborough

Oh that's all right then. What has that got to do with anything legally? When those kids lost their legs at Alton Towers do you think your statement above would hold water at the inquiry? Did I say it was alright or did I merely point out how ludicrous it would be to suggest that the captain of the...

Re: Hillsborough

96 poor souls lost their lives on that horrible day. That so easily could of been us or someone we know. Yet we have to turn it into "scousers are *****" "what about Heysel". :thdn: Poor form to lose sight of the fact that people died as a result of numerous failings by people in authority. Yes, pe...

If you bothered to watch the BBC News report on the trial tonight you might realise what a load unsubstantiated Boll**ks you have written. For the record I am old enough. Perhaps, I should clarify - back in the day, the assumption by the authorities (and it still exists today, though not to the sam...

Re: Hillsborough

Some of the comments on here are shameful! It has been legally shown that these deaths of football fans were criminal and to suggest any blame was on those fans who died was their own fault is reprehensible. If our fans were there on the day how would you see it? That it was an accident. Anyone who...
