Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

It's gotten to the stage now where I'm betting on other teams games in the dogfight as well as on our games. Have done it in previous seasons when we've been in a relegation scrap, but don't normally do it until March/April. Do it mainly because my bets very rarely come in, it's a superstition I hav...

I can't believe we signed Dowie twice.
Unfinished business! Once he scored that goal at Stockport his work was done :)

And easily the worst thing of all?
They've virtually destroyed the club that we loved, West Ham United FC.
Could have been even worse if she carried out the idea of changing the name to West Ham Olympic!

Re: Welcome (again), Darren Randolph

I wasn't too keen on the thought of him coming back because I felt he made a lot of errors the last time he was here. When I heard he's been injured as well it properly set the alarm bells ringing, this could be the craziest decision ever bringing him back. If he was 100% fit I'd be willing to give ...

You never know, be just like us to agree in principle to something like that, sell Diop to Chelsea and then on deadline day Spurs come in and scupper the Fernandes deal!
Nearly called it right!

Honestly think if we survive this season it will be even more of a remarkable achievement than the Great Escape season. Such is the state of the club on and off the pitch.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

They couldn't have wished for a worse week could they. Lose out to a player on loan to Spurs, can't even sign a championship reserve goalkeeper, news comes out we're the 18th richest club in the world and 7th in England. Bring on the protest :crest: If things don't go to plan on the pitch on Saturd...

Re: Deloitte money league, Where are we ranked?

Just exactly what are our outgoings each season ? Rent £3m Wages £80m ? Training Ground £5000 ? Why on earth are we skint ? How can a club ranked 18th richest inn Europe be skanking around Europe trying to sign reserve players on loan ? Where is the money ? It's going to Karren, for the role she pl...

Re: Lukasz Fabianski signs

Also posted in transfer thread: With Fabianski only being out for “a couple of weeks”, I wonder whether that means we won’t be buying another keeper... The “couple of weeks” Fabianski is out for coincides quite nicely with the end of the transfer window... What are the odds on the window closing an...

Re: VAR is not the problem, the Law is...

France got the opening goal against Croatia through a ridiculous handball referral. I never thought this would create a level playing field. Even if the law is rewritten, the problems remain - who decides when to refer, how far back in a move do they chose to look at, is there the technology along ...

We don’t play them anywhere near the last game of the season...
If that's the case then the fixtures underneath the stats section on this site are wrong then. Got us down as playing Liverpool Weds 20th May, so blame the guvnor.

Yes, us last game of the season. They'll put the youngsters out but by then we'll probably be planning for mid week trips to the likes of Huddersfield and Blackburn!

Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

Win or bust this game is for me. Know its still mathematically possible that we could survive but I've pretty much written off the next 3 away games after this. Vital that we get maximum points from the next 2 home games which look winnable on paper. Really hope Martin's confidence hasn't taken too ...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

It was a **** game of football all round. They were compact and buzzed about. We were slow and loose in possession. The only goal that stood came from a Sanchez level pass from Martin. Bit unfair to blame Martin on his own, if Balbuena had been a bit sharper he could have received that ball and dea...
