Re: The Relegation Rebuild & Casualties

I think our very expensive attack has been pretty useless for most of the last four months. It seems pretty apparent to me that it simply doesn’t fit together, but I also think Pellegrini utterly drained the combined confidence by getting them to drop deep and play tippy tappy stuff. Haller ...

Re: The Relegation Rebuild & Casualties

I can’t see Rice staying either way Bubbs Apart from that I don’t disagree. Relegation will be akin to 2003 with a mass exodus - the decision to put the transfer window closing date back may come back to haunt us. Our engine room will need an overhaul in the summer - even if we stay up and Soucek tu...

Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

Hard to feel sorry for any clubs involved or benefitting from this... - Man City clearly have an unfair advantage and, by the sounds of it have broken some rules - The old elite have their noses out of joint by Man City money and wish to avoid any loss/impact to their own brands - particularly the E...

Re: Winston Reid

Good luck Winston  Clearly an introverted chap but gave us some good times and i never felt he got the credit he deserved for our championship season. Plenty of criticism regarding his contract but people forget that he was 6 months from walking on a free at the time and there was talk of £15-...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

They’ll let themselves be ‘forced out’ in 2023 if we are in the PL at that point. In the meantime their asking price will exceed any rational buyers budget.

Re: Weekends other games 8th and 9th February

I certainly don't think it was folly. In the summer I was sure someone would break the top 6 this season and Leicester, us, Everton and Wolves were the main hopes. It looks as though there could be two places available no (although I think only Leicester will make it in the end) My confidence in wh...

does it suit Man City to have this reorganised for another date in some way?

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Reading this thread gives me the impression that most still think this is a top ten squad and we’re just a bit unlucky with injuries and events conspiring against us. I fear we’re far, far more of a basket case. I see a team with significant deficiencies in central midfield and full back where one o...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

It would be refreshing to have a thread that didn’t degenerate into a slagging off of the manager tbh.

I think we’re going down because a number of shortcomings at the club have not been addressed for a long time, I feel there’s little any manager could do about it tbh.

Re: Weekends other games 8th and 9th February

Palace will also win one of their ‘unwinnables’. They will stick everyone behind the ball and Zaha will have one of those games. They’ll be fine (sadly).

Re: Weekends other games 8th and 9th February

That Brighton draw will look even more critical over time. They look like one of the few teams who could go on a real losing run.

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

"Something must be done" is never a good way to approach any problem. Agree mate Sadly, neither is sticking with something that’s not working on so many levels. Did ask if that was short sighted/naive. Have posted previously that I’d like someone who spends the clubs earnings well, doesn’t spin and...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

I no longer care who buys us.

Just as long as we get new owners.

Is that short sighted, naive? I don’t know and I don’t really care, just know that I hate the current lot on so many levels - and somehow more by the day as they pile lie upon lie.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I’d imagine any takeover discussion gets as far as asking Sulli’s valuation, then the potential buyer rolling around laughing for a bit before exiting stage left.

Serious question......

Does he have any advisers or people that are real
Football people or is it completely off the cuff and done as a dictatorship?
