Re: Other Games 14/1-17/1

Thought Digne looked decent for a 97-year-old today.

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

“However, any Under-21 player who participates in a club’s FA Cup Round Three match and has not played in any other first-team competitions for the club this season will not be considered by the Board as appropriately experienced” Oh do **** off….did the self important six actually write that thems...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

We mainly want a left footed centre back because of what they’ll bring on the ball. Reading the Villa forums they think that’s the weakest part of Hause’s game (they’re also not very complementary of his actual defending). Would be an odd one imo. If PSG don’t want to loan us Diallo then exercise th...

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

It’s all building up to a situation where we have every senior player bar David Martin out with COVID at the exact point that the powers-that-be decide not to grant any more postponements and we’re the first club to be told to get on with it (with genuine cause). A lot of reporting starting to sugge...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I may be an outlier but I don’t see as much similarity between Antonio and Traore as others seem to. Certainly not in the attributes that we would benefit from anyway. I can’t see how or where Traore would fit in to the current 11 and not seen anything to suggest he could be converted to striker.

It’ll be denied because TV are starting to get upset about cancelled games I reckon

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Anyone who plays 30% of the minutes in the top flight in France, Germany, Italy or Spain automatically qualifies I think. They don't need caps or anything. Cheers Bubbs 👍🏻 In that case - I’m in, looks a better fit than half the players we’ve been linked with and I’m also won over by S-H’s giraffe c...

Latest link from France is Ludovic Ajorque - a 6'6" striker.
Looks decent on his YouTube’s - runs the channels, goals with both feet and head, gets on the end of balls across the box on the floor and in the air and links up play.

Now we’ve left Europe does he get a work permit?

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Don’t know why people keep talking about Kretinsky needing to spend or put money in his pocket. He’s already invested significantly more than GSB have in the club.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I wish someone would buy Sam Johnstone from west brom this window….just so that I don’t need to keep reading that we’re favourites for him for the next five months.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

Great result Thought Bowen terrorised them. Fornals really has the bit between his teeth, great to see Cresswell back, great save from Fab, Antonio kept two of them busy a lot of the time and Vlasic had a really good first half. Flip side - we need to be more clinical as we looked like we were tryin...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Still marvelling at that Hickey stat of 0.1 crosses per game. Am I right in thinking that means he crosses it once every ten games? The sense of occasion when it happens must be brilliant. Like one of those tropical flowers that only bloom once a decade. :crylol: Hate to think how they work out a c...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

I think we may see a bit of rotation personally. Fornals to start and Antonio on the bench I reckon - with Bowen pushed up front. Wouldn’t even be surprised to see Masuaku and Johnson as full backs if Coufal isn’t available and perhaps Nobes to play a part. I know many don’t like ‘must win’ but we n...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Newcastle spending £25m to marginally improve them but to massively weaken Burnley (who may struggle to replace Wood given time and their attractiveness).

Relatively - it helps them staying up on two fronts

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

No reason why we'd return Areola as we can have as many non-domestic loans as we please each year . The "2 loans per club" is only between domestic clubs. We could loan 11 players from PSG within the rules. This comes up every few pages – I'd wager it's less likely to get another loan off...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Same dude who ‘broke’ Randolph to Villa on loan (Talksport) now saying it’s off and Randolph ‘now staying’ at West Ham. Not clear if it’s Villa or West Ham driven but worded to suggest it’s our end. Wonder if that means we’re returning Areola in order to loan Diallo (pure speculation on my part) or ...

Re: Most overrated and underrated players

Underrated - Marc Rieper
Overrated - Slaven Bilic

Both really good centrebacks, one rode the uplift in the others form to compliment each other and liked really cool music so got hero worshipped whilst the other was only highly regarded after we sold him north of the border.
