Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

If any of our Dutch posters read this...what's your opinion of Teun Koopmeiners? I have seen him play a couple of times and I think he is good and would do a job for West Ham. talented? yes. ready for the PL? not sure. Technically i think he fits the bill, but if he can keep up with the pace of the...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I confess to having never heard of Haller, before we were linked to him. I presume from the hype and price tag, he's good. Is there any particular reason why he hasn't played for France yet (or ever called up to the squad, as far as I can see)? I would have thought at 25 years old he would have had...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Völlig unverständlich. Frankfurt spielt (sehr sicher) Europa und dann wechselt er zu einem mittelklassigen Verein in England, der 0 Europa Ambitioniert ist freely translated (this is a tweet response from one Eintracht fan): completely wrong move, Frankfurt will be playing in Europe. And then he goe...

mike1961 wrote:Looking at his highlights clip Haller is Hernandez mark 2 (but possibly better) i.e. a tap-in merchant. Would you play the 2 of them together? (They would spend all their time bumping into each other on the edge of the 6 yard box).
tap-in merchant with quite a few assists to his name as well then

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

question is whether he is better than fredericks and co ? we need someone there as I think it was a mistake to give zabaleta another year as he was slowing up a lot last season. time will tell if that was a good decision. on the other side it looks like we are going with masuaka until he drops form...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Veltman is a strange one..I never rated him tbh, thought he was a squad player for Ajax at best. Then he goes and replaces Mazraoui in the CL games and he looks like a ****ing rolls royce defender. Maybe there's a right-back in there, but he's definitely not a PL-standard CB. Would love to have a du...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Thing with Haller, and the same as I feel might play against Jovic at Madrid, is that he's had one good Bundesliga season in a team that plays in a very specific style - one that isn't easily replicated unless you have the playing staff. Will he succeed in a different team playing different footbal...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 70 days remaining

It is only one game admittedly, but I thought he was utterly useless for Netherlands in the recent match against England He ain't an international no more for us, decided to quit recently  On another note; Dost is only useful if he get's services from the flanks. Whip a good cross in and watch...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018

I'd love us to sign him :) great engine, usually plays as a wing back but also comfortable in a 4-3-3 system obviously.

Re: January transfer window

Lot of Dendoncker love on this thread. How many have actually seen him play though? I like the sound of him, but I don't really watch the Belgian league, and I seem to remember people like Davy Klaasen coming to the PL with the same sort of reputation. tbf klaassen had a stormer of a season last ye...

Re: Wigan Athletic v West Ham Utd: FA Cup 4th rnd match thread

Ogbonna looks furious, storming forward and trying to do the midfielder's jobs. Takes a lot to get the happiest man in the world annoyed, but we have been that bad good, I hope Oggy, Moyes and Pearce will be giving some of them a hefty ****ing off. Hernandez, Masuaku, Hart, Cresswell shame on you a...
