Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
All I wanted was for us to give it a go, if we got an early goal then we had a chance. We did exactly that but I couldn't help but feel even more dejected at the end. We were so good in the first half and they were really on the ropes. If we scored a second........

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Deciding to keep a manager on or not down to one game (If we went through last night I imagine Moyes would have stayed) two years in a row is no way to run a football club
I mean I know elite level sports are down to fine margins but this is taking it to the next level

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
I feel very despondent and deflated about Thursday's upcoming game. But we need a Ipswich play off semi final type atmosphere to stand a chance (Although of course we could never generate such an atmosphere at the bowl)

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Arguable the best team in Europe. We would have had a much better chance against one of the 'big' names like AC Milan, Roma, even Liverpool.
Our chances of winning are very low. But if we manage to score early we'll have a game on our hands and a punchers chance

Well these recent national insurance cuts cost 9bn, so just reverse that and get the working age to pay for a wealth transfer to a bunch of entitled boomers

Sunaks signature pledge and it's completely in tatters. That's without even mentioning the ones the government 'lost' to clear the backlog

You have to admire the way Starmer has quietly got rid of most of the cranks in the party.

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
I very much doubt whether this will become an election issue but I wonder whether any of the parties , well , Labour are brave enough to take on the WASPI case - the Ombudsman has recommended a compensation payout of between £1000 and £2950 - '' The government said it would consider the ombudsman's...

Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
The whole thing is a joke, we have to play these silly games every budget where we pretend tax cuts are funded by future rises in stuff like fuel duty which then never happen. Or in recent years by increasing the number of immigrants. It's just a complete nonsense. Issue is now that the Truss debacl...

Meanwhile councils to be told to cut consultants for things like diversity schemes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68477450 A better way to spend the money would be a drastic overhaul of our antiquated local government system, quite frankly. Haven't central government been telling them that...

It's just beyond belief that a conservative government issued 1.4 million visas last year - and only less than 25% of those for work visas (Mostly care workers who then switch occupation)
It's a scandal

We're told that Johnson swept to victory in 2019 because he was such a popular figure. We're also told that there's no love for Starmer and he'll win the election in spite of this. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GGuBgyIXUAA72Kj?format=jpg&name=medium I'm sure we can look forward to the Daily Mail ...

You're probably right, once their briefs start writing the script for them we'll be back to square one, saying that, there's ways of testing the validity of any such claims. The Christian one simply involves the witnessed consuming of Stella and a bacon roll. The gay one's a bit more messy, for tha...

Boris certainly has charisma, it's hard to see how he could do any worse than Sunak but then we don't know what other scandals would have happened in the year since if he stayed on.
