Re: Why modern football is broken beyond repair

Where did the article explain why referees favour the big clubs ?
I didn't see referees mentioned there.

Re: Ticket office login

So, how many weeks until they get this sorted ? Surely they can't expect thousands of people creating e-mail addresses and phoning the ticket office several times only so they can create a new West Ham account? When the old accounts were working just fine. Wasn't this supposed to make things easier ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

It's the perfect storm brewing. It hasn't happened earlier because previous mistakes by the board could be brushed under the carpet while we were sitting midtable despite everything. Journalists aren't interested in clubs that only employ only one scout or have the players training on a portakabin c...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

As for the 10-year old granddaughter at the Burnley game protests, where did that conversation take place ? Pictures from the moment that a group of fans were crowding and chanting below the director's box showed no child sitting near Gold. Which is unsurprising as children are apparently not allowe...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Fans will be there long after them. Not much longer to go. Their race at the club is pretty much run.
They are no spring chickens anymore, if they are smart they sell up and spend some of their profit, enjoying a few more years somewhere in the sun with a cold drink.

Re: Ticket office login

I haven't created a new account yet. What if I don't use a social media account like Facebook or Google and still want to manage tickets or access the online shop ?

It's not like they have been communicating this new launch much, have they ?

Re: Protests against the board being planned

With the media being on the case now, pressure on the board will be relentless: More media stories, more digging deeper, more facts and home truths coming out, more protests supported by growing numbers followed by even more media reporting. That Sky apology will turn out to be a Pyrrhic victory, a ...

Re: Anthony Scully

Something doesn't look right indeed. His stats were among the best among all our U23s players. A loan somewhere till the end of the season, okay, but a permanent deal ? Or does Scully know things that would make him want to jump ship and find another club ? I know very few players make the step up f...

Re: Sunday Supplement

I almost had forgotten what happened with Lance Armstrong back then. He really got the hump with the media reporting about the doping issues, he even had the nerve to act the wrongly accused victim and sued papers for defamation, I think the Sunday Times had to pay him damages. Not long after that i...

Re: Taxi for Karren ? Is one due ?

I would hazard a guess that Sullivan and Brady have been in business together for such a long time that they are now stuck with each other for life. Both probably know more about each other than is healthy which means that they can only really function if they are in some sort of project together, b...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

So, is there any kind of release clause or fee attached to his signing or not ? Apparently Sullivan refused to accept a clause that would have allowed Haller to join a CL club after just one season. And I can't believe really that Haller would have joined without any assurances he can go to a bigger...

What's there to leverage though for Haller ? I thought personal terms were already sorted.
Or does his agent want higher bonus fees and add ons ?

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Haller is pronounced the French way: Drop the H, the Cockney way, stretch the vowels and you're pretty much there: 'Aaalleeeer.

Same with the first name, Sebastiooohh.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Is it a potential problem that Willie McKay is heavily involved in the Haller negotiations ?
Wasn't it reported in France he was on a 5 year ban in terms of acting as intermediary or football agent ?

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

So, can Willie McKay still work as a football agent actually or is there a 5 year ban active for him ? Quite important question if he is involved in the Haller negotiations.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I can see it now: We sign Haller with the help of Willie McKay who apparently no longer holds a licence to act as intermediary. Sheffield United sue us middle of the season and we have to pay them 50m quid in penalties and send Haller back to Frankfurt... :D Surely, after the Tevez saga, we have lea...
