The High street - Now it is full of betting shops, charity shops or a sprinkling of other shops. Before everything went online or the big out of town shopping centres/areas the high street or centre of town had a life to it. Now it is just drab.

Re: Midweek games
Watching Barcelona is like watching west ham at the moment.
Under constant pressure from the opposition, looking to play on the break, can't keep the ball, backs to the wall except Barca have 10 players and we would have 11.
Plus the both stadiums are terrible.

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11
what a game in Paris. that Real/City and this PSG/Barca game gave us 11 goals and loads of other opportunities.. incredible game tonight ruined only by the commentary and h-t analysis lot.. Agree with all of this. The quality of football in those two games was outstanding. Really enjoyed watching t...

However, like previous ties, the day is already dragging.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread
What is concerning is the lack of a leader or leaders out there? No one is shouting or applauding or geeing up the others. No one player questioning the ref when it goes against us. Even Moyes, or it doesn't seem like it, is not out there on the touchline wafting his hands like he had just farted or...

Agree. Totally disinterested. Is like the ball has an std.MorthwylMawr wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 3:39 pm I find it bizarre how disinterested and unprepared we are. Ball retention is awful, we're clinging on here.

Their bloke goes down as if he has had his ankle removed. Screams, grabs his ankle, goes to do three forward rolls, looks at ref award penalty. Gets up as if everything is fine in the world

Does she still do her awful Sun column? The usual standing on a soap box bleeting how high and mighty her opinion is about something/someone (bit like the Arteta referred to earlier). And then the throwaway bit about how she was in a director's box some time past and how she knew another directors w...

Re: Bite-sized FA Cup Quiz
Yeah I do love your little quizzes and other peeps that do them on here. A spoiler thing on the forum would be good but not essential to the site. For those that must google the WWW for the answers are cheating themselves and there is nothing you can do about that. Keep them coming one and all. You ...

Re: Kids' names
I was born in Feb 74 and before I was born there was that usual tussle between a mum and dad on what to name their newborn. I am told they kept suggesting names but the other didn't like it. So my dad grabbed a book of names and did the old flick through, stop on a random page and put a pen down on ...

A naive Man goes for an eye test and the Optician firstly asks him to read the eye chart by covering each eye, one at a time. The Patient struggles to know his left hand from his right hand to cover each eye respectively. Eventually, the Optician loses patience and simply asks the Patient to return ...

Re: Premier League: Financial Reports (2022/2023)
What it does highlight, is the huge gap in Commercial revenue between the Sky 6 and the rest of the league. OK Man City, you might have some questions around those figures but the lowest of the top 6, Arsenal getting £173m and then the highest of the rest , Leeds are getting £49m shows the gap is hu...

We looked out on it feet at the end, esp Pacqueta, Antonio.
Ref made some absolute howlers tonight.

The guy is not mentally or physically match fit and it has shown when he has played for us. I am sure Moyes and the coaching staff and southgate have told him to knuckle down and work hard, put arms around him etc etc. With Southgate publicly saying can't trust Phillips at the moment with the perfor...

The boy done well last night. He is the closet we have to old fashioned out and out winger. I think in the past for England he has tried too hard to impress and ballsed it up. Last night, he was just the Bowen that plays for West Ham. He has worked hard to get the recognition to be a Premier league ...

Surely the bigger story is why Pam St Clements was standing behind him when he did it? and in the picture above, it appears (s)he is envious of someone eating a delicious pork pie in the crowd. Anyway, back to Sam. I remember it but 10 years ago. Cant be shirely. It was ill advised of the man to do...
