There has been far more good than bad though, and I can’t agree we’ve been coached or set up badly for the majority of his time here.

and probably this is the most important point on which the two sides disagree.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I think the only way we can play as we did last night is if we had the squad to do so. I doubt any team can go full pelt like we did in the first 45 for a sustained period . Even Klopp's heavy metal squad went as hard as we did last night. in fact, the majority of reasonable people know that a go l...

Scamacca didn’t want to play for the club from the very first day he arrived In fact he didn’t even want to sign for the ****ing club, he just did as he was told But yeah, he was criminal,y misused :crylol: i didn't want to rekindle this discussion, and my comment this morning was intended as a lit...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We didn’t misuse him, he didn’t want to be here and stunk the place out. not trying to convince anyone, I stand by my opinion and there's that. But many, even yesterday, said something to the lines "I bet paqueta loves playing this low block defense football with 1 shot on goal per game",...

Yeah it really is amazing that playing for a club from his home country with a load of fellow countrymen seems to bring the best out of him. literally 2 italians in the starting eleven besides him! :crylol: joking aside, I'll die on the hill that, even more than with haller, the way we misused scam...

probably because their manager told them they could, sometimes, attack and promised their dicks wouldn't fall of because of that horrendous sin.

and btw, that scamacca guy looks like he can work in a counter attacking system, who would've thought.

i wonder who pushed for those 3 to sign, and put them on the field togeter come rain or shine.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Moyes is capable of coaching a side that is solid in possession, though you need competent midfielders to do so. Thing is, if you don't have the personnel it makes it much more difficult: https://www.espn.com/soccer/match/_/gameId/345690 https://www.espn.co.uk/football/matchstats/_/gameId/345711 ht...

They're not comparable situations.
Still, the manager has been left in an almost untenable situation. And by remaining silent, he sounds at least complicit.

Re: January transfer window

You know what happened, we sold two players and didn't replace them. Will it really put you at ease if Moyes says "well we've got Cornet and we just couldn't get the deals over the line" it's a waste of time. Venezia, the team I follow closely since I live here, has sold their best player...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

We’ll get lingard, and MAYBE a CB. Moyes will be content because he got his precious Jesse, Sullivan will be content to spend **** all and to pocket a hefty sum, and we’ll have a disaster of a season.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Giving him a 3 month contract on reasonable terms, allow him to redeem himself and judge him and reward him on his merits, seems quite sensible to me. the problem is, as many have already said, that we all know moyes will play him each and every game on those 3 months, regardless of form, end produ...

well, I just find it funny that, in order to get excited for a player, we start going back 5 years ago to find some positives about him, whereas his last 2 years as a professional footballer have been totally abysmal.

He’s scored the winning goal in an FA Cup final and a goal in Man Utd’s EFL final win. Plus, was part of the team who won the Europa League under Mourinho, coming off the bench in their 2-0 win against Ajax. wow, and what about the tournaments back when he was 11? must have scored some winning goal...

Re: Jesse Lingard

True, but if he does nothing of note he will have taken up a squad place, wasted money on wages and probably a signing on fee. more than that, I am 100% convinced that, if he signs, it will hamper our chances of getting a forward or a paqueta substitute (if he leaves), because moyes will be content...
