It really shocks you? It's fairly standard behaviour for that platform.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile

What did you expect the results to reveal? Forlorn hope that you were in fact the father? Genuinely bemused. Well I expected the results to give me a breakdown of the breeds in her heritage (as she's a mix of many), and also screen for any genetic health conditions that are common with those breeds.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I still think Sean Dyche will take over if DM leaves . Great friends with the board , has PL experience of keeping Burnley up on peanuts, well organised in defence , and a relatively safe pair of hands. How much power has Steidten really got over managerial appointments and transfers? No-one knows ...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile

DNA results came back today for my rescue dog - as expected she's a mix of everything. Never heard of most of the breeds - all the breeds that I thought were in her aren't. Was nice to know though for sure... I've been curious for ages.

Re: Things that are gone that you miss

Weirdly, I miss the first lockdown. We just about had enough money to get by, my phone stopped ringing and the emails stopped intruding, it seemed like it was sunny all the time, my lad and I played table tennis in the garden every day, it was quiet and restful. Yeah I miss it too - although I thin...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Yep. I still got my doubt, that someone who double-crossed his former employer should hold more authority at his next career-step. Just an opinion. He does come across as ambitious so I'm fairly sure he's aiming higher than us - I just hope he sticks around long enough to fulfil his 4 year plan, an...

Struggling to see beyond Fonseca and Slot to be honest, although I'd be quite keen on poaching Iraola from Bournemouth too.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I've said for months, it'll be one out of Cooper, Potter or Benitez. I think Cooper would do alright, he has experience working for a chaotic owner and having players bought for him. Out of those three I'd probably go for Potter - but ultimately it's a poor selection and I wouldn't want any of them...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

In terms of replacements.... Andoni Iraola was my choice last season. Glasner was the one I liked most this season. Both gone elsewhere now. Looking elsewhere... what's the story with Eric Roy at Brest? He has spent the majority of his career so far as a technical director, including a spell at Watf...

And those public information films... don't play with fireworks, don't talk to strangers, don't play on farms, don't play on train lines, don't fly kites near pylons, don't forget to put your seatbelt on, etc etc... they were horrific to watch as a primary school kid and it created a whole lot of fe...

Re: Your childhood

I honestly had a great childhood - loved every minute. Probably a reason I'm so much into nostalgia, and why I have so many vivid memories. Going through a lot of old photos at the moment, doing high quality scans so they're preserved. I've also been using those AI services to correct a few of the p...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I've genuinely stopped giving a **** if I miss watching the games. It doesn't even factor into my week planning anymore. I tried to rekindle things by watching the Bayer game but ended up reading stuff on my phone more than watching the game. I felt so dispassionate that I barely even felt any disap...

Re: Things that are gone that you miss

Not missing anything at the moment really... But in another 16 months, my youngest will be going to high school. It will be the first time in 16 years that I don't have a kid in primary school. I think I'm going to miss it a lot. I'd honestly have another kid right now if I could. I used to think th...

Would be brilliant scenes if we turn this around.

I don't think we will though. Not even a little bit.

Re: Things that are gone that you miss

Slowness. Everything has to be fast, almost instantaneous, now. Shops are not close on Sundays and on most of the bank days. With VOD, you don't have to care about when something is broadcasted. When a new LP is released, you can listen to it right away wherever you are. When you're looking for som...

Re: Your childhood

We moved to a new house when I was 3. My earliest ever memory is of me running up and down the ramp on the removal van. Probably not long after moving in, another earlier memory was falling down the stairs that hadn't been carpeted yet, and my dad making me a drink of orange in a Mr Noisy Mr Men gla...

That wasn't aimed at you alf git :)

I was just curious to see if it was censored... twat is commonly considered a nasty swear word up north, whereas in London it's not considered swearing at all.
