Re: Issa Diop

Dawson is solid and dependable, but limited in certain areas such as pace and passing. A bargain for what we paid for him though. Diop just looks like a player that's never going to progress. He lacks aggression, confidence, and struggles to anticipate things and rashly commits to challenges instead...

Defence, just basically need a centre back that can defend? Decent with the ball as well great, but being able to defend paramount imo.
I disagree - I think being decent with the ball is equally paramount. Our current problems in the defensive third go beyond simply defending.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Coufal distribution sh**e The problem we have is that Fredericks isn't exactly known as a snappy passer, and Johnsons distribution has been poor recently. It's not really something we can improve with the players we have at our disposal. And you can't just blame Coufal. Dawson and Diop have been eq...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I would be extremely tempted to cancel Krals loan and try and bring in a replacement loan in the same position that can make a real impact. Someone that can pass too. In terms of defence, I'd still prefer Caleta-Car than Tarkowski and Phillips and not just because he plays on the left of defence. He...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

It's our distribution that lets us down. When you keep giving the ball away so frequently, it creates chaos and makes it almost impossible to control the game. I've been saying this for weeks. We need a little more culture in the defensive half of our team. We're never going to take control of a mat...

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

I actually didn't think he was too bad - mistake aside. The problem we were having was not being able to get either Vlasic or Bowen into the game enough.

I do wonder sometimes though why we bought a really expensive central attacking midfielder to play left-wing.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Attacking midfield wasn't the problem today. We just didn't get those players in the game. The support for them was poor. Distribution out from the back was abysmal. Our passing game was way off and time after time we gave the ball straight back to them. If we're going to play the tactic of having d...

Defending all over the place. Distribution out from the back even worse (as I've been complaining about for quite a few weeks now)

Re: Coronavirus

I've just been taking a look at the figures for under 18's on the official vaccine surveillance reports. Quite relevant for us having 5 kids between us. I've just looked at the last months (4 weeks) and though it shows a higher hospitalisation rate with unvaccinated kids vs vaccinated, it strangely ...

Re: Netflix and Amazon Video

Stay Close , Netflix’s latest adaptation of a Harlan Coben story. Mrs CRS and I sat down last night about 5.30 and put episode 1 on to see if it was any good. It turned out to be very good and we let it run onto episode 2 which drew us in further. To cut a long story short, by the end of the night ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

We need to start taking those easier chances today and not making unnecessary hard work of it as we did in the last two games.

Re: Coronavirus

So here's where I am with the whole covid thing: Things I am convinced about. The vaccine offers good protection against covid, especially to those that are most at risk. I've never argued against that. Pharmaceutical giants have far more power and influence than they should. Not all people being la...

Re: What did you watch last night?

I watched James Wan's new horror 'Malignant'. I thought it was alright actually. It's been called James Wans giallo but it's not a giallo film. I think it's been influenced by giallo but more specifically I'd say the influence is from Dario Argentos films, both giallo and non-giallo. The intentional...

As Diop’s replacement I’d take it but not as Ogbonna’s. He is average at best. Need a Zouma level signing to replace Oggy for me
I think Hause is quite under-rated and is exactly the type of no-nonsense defender that Moyes likes. I can see this one happening.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I'd like a defender that's decent in the air. Someone trustworthy and solid. I don't think Ake is that man. I'd much rather go for Caleta Car if we're after a left sided centre back.

Re: What did you watch last night?

After finishing Black Space (Israel) which I really enjoyed, I've moved onto the crazy S.Korean series 'Hellbound'. I'm 3 episodes in and.. well it is all a bit silly and the creature things look far too CGI. They look like they belong in a PS4 game. I guess it's entertaining enough - it's far from ...
