Sky News actually reporting that one person has died of OMICRON in America.
I wonder if they will report the age and previous health status of said person, like we haven't managed to do so in the UK

Re: Coronavirus

I was up in the Midlands a few weeks back for the annual Xmas drinks with the wife's friends and family, her brother was giving it the big un about people not taking vaccines being selfish etc, I laughed at him and said if we wanted to see selfish pricks he should remind us all how he voted for Bre...

Re: Rogue Trader?

Assuming he is not an outright conman, I suspect what has probably happened is he's used the money we paid him for materials on other things and has come unstuck somewhere. He now doesn't currently have the funds to buy the materials to finish our job, so is trying to buy himself time. Thanks Exact...

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Yep. The wheels started to come off for Johnson when that useless **** in no.11 thought putting taxes up on incomes was a good idea. Nobody votes Tory because they believe the state is good at spending their hard earned and it should be taking more. Nor do they vote Tory because they want the state...

Re: To baldly go or to go baldy?

Everyone I know who has started using that stuff, and who subsequently stopped (a good 15-20 people) noticed a significant increase in their hair loss. Some of them didn't have any hair loss at all and it seemed to be a trigger. Of course, in all cases that could have been what would have happened ...

Re: To baldly go or to go baldy?

Be aware that if you start using any of those products that promote thicker hair growth such as Alpecin, chances are you will have to keep using it till you're ready to call it a day and lob the whole lot off. Is that true? I was considering using Alpecin as a preventative measure, although I've no...

Re: Formula1

Georges time will come and he doesnt need to rush it. I wonder how far the Mercs are ahead if it all as im sure that will play on Hamiltons mind - he may well come back do a year smash the field if so then say im off. He'll only be able to smash the field if he has a big technical advantage. If he ...

Re: Coronavirus

Their going to bring in the rules immediately after Christmas aren’t they. Boris wants to bring the rules in but he doesn’t want to do it before Christmas for PR reasons, so once Boxing Day is out the way he’ll feel able to announce them. I really ****ing hope this isn’t the case but it looks very ...

Re: Twin Towns

I used to live in Southend. It's twinned with Sopot in Poland. There used to be a sign that announced this as you drove in down the A127, it went years ago, not sure why. Maybe due to as many Poles living there now as there are in Sopot so they didn't think it was worth it any more. Also I noticed B...

Re: Spurs face disruption after coronavirus outbreak in squad

Wouldn't be surprised if this suits Spurs down to the ground and is what they hoped would happen all along.

Now they can focus on other things that are objectively more important than winning the Europa Conference League.

Like going shopping at Waitrose or cutting their toenails.

Re: Formula1

I don't think Hamilton should retire. He's still at the top of his game and if I was a betting man I'd say MB are likely to make as good a fist of the regs as anyone else, most likely better. He'll always have 7 championships and to go now would look like he was running scared, not just from MV but ...

Re: Coronavirus

I can see they're in a no win situation. Absolutely but I think their repeated failures in relation to their own personal behaviour, whilst outlining what others should do is what is really costing them. I could forgive them for struggling and ****ing up in circumstances that are almost unprecedent...

Yes, single gunshot wound to the head. RIP. Yes, single gunshot wound to the head. RIP. :smiler: Just seems strange that they haven't given us any information on said person, given how important it is. Seeing as they've taken over a week and still nothing forthcoming, I can only assume that this in...

We don't know yet although the signs are good. But even if it's milder is about scale.

I haven't been keeping up to date over the weekend.

So , do we have details on the 1 person reported to have died "from" Omicron?

Re: The murder of little Arthur

Agreed DL but the gradual decline in ethical and moral standards in this country doesn't fill me with lots of confidence that in 25 years , a slightly different prevailing view might be held. I thought that was why the Yanks sometimes give someone life plus 500 years (although it's just my guess) ie...

Re: Coronavirus

If in 3 weeks the wave comes and goes, most of us have had a runny nose and 12 people died of old age while having covid, there will be a lot to be said. You'd like to think so but they'll just point at something else and announce Plan C to distract you from the fact that Plan B wasn't really requi...

How many potential grandchildren will Boris have?

25? 30?
Depends how many more babies he gets his wife to pump out

25 is about right I'd imagine if he keeps it at just the 7 kids.

Although could be more if any of his kids are like him

Re: The murder of little Arthur

So about 5 years instead

Appreciate she didn't murder the child but she did sit there and let it happen.

She's very fortunate to only receive that sort of time .

Re: Coronavirus

Johnson said " being a jab volunteer is something you can tell your grandchildren about"

What an absolute cretin. Maybe he can hand out medals like the generation one or two back received for their efforts.
