My girlfriend has already bought me a bottle of Gentleman Jack
Got a bottle of that for my birthday along with a bottle of Honey JD. Still haven't opened either. I'm a beer man, not really into bourbon.

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

You say that like it's a bad thing GCRO. I remember eating one in my mate's van and a piece of meat fell on the floor and I couldn't find it. My mate found it a couple of weeks later and it had bristles growing out of it. I kid you not. I also remember I went to a night game in the early 90s. I'd b...

Re: 23andMe, AncestryDNA etc

Well my boss and his daughter both studied everything and their conclusion is that it is a mistake somewhere and has decided that is the end of it all. Personally I would be inclined to dig a little deeper and maybe get the uncle to participate with giving his DNA too. I have no idea of the science...

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

One thing I will say in defence of the Brummies, is that at their kebab shops they normally have the option of Doner meat wrapped in a naan bread, which is one of the greatest things ever when you're pissed at 2am. Isn't that just a Keema Naan with more meat ? The actual meat in a Keema is the same...

And he comes across really well. I put him in the very much like column. You can't but at least respect a sportsman who really changed the game....almost with one delivery.
To be fair he'd more or less done that before that delivery. Easily the greatest spin-bowler of all time.

Well, there's a video below where he explains his diet. Really worth a watch, it's about half an hour long:

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

I love an Indian, food of gods. If you haven't tried Nepalese cuisine, do it, a different take on your normal Indian food, more aromatic for me, plus I think the main difference is they do not use cream and very little sugar, so the food/taste is more natural. Gurkha / Nepalese is the same thing an...

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

Which one is best in your opinion GCRO? I'm around Maidstone at Christmas and will book one of them. Kin'ell, I'm hungry. That's a real tough one. The other place is imaginatively called "Gurkha Restaurant" and it's on Week Street opposite the Wetherspoons so if you're going for a gargle that would...

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Not sure if anyone is familiar with Jordan Peterson. He's a clinical phycologist and is a very interesting person to listen to on philosophy and all things about life. He divides opinion and some people don't like him but I think he speaks a lot of sense. Anyway, recently I watched a video of him an...

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

I think it must have been one of these that I went in last Christmas GCRO, near Maidstone West station. Loved it and beats most Indians down here in Devon. That's the one. "Gurkha Kitchen" it's called and it's excellent. There's one round the corner near Maidstone East station and that is superb to...

Re: Best Ruby Murray?

There's two Gurkha curry places near me in Maidstone. Believe me, it's the best curry I've ever tasted. Easily better than the usual Bangladeshi fayre that you get in your average Indian.

Re: 23andMe, AncestryDNA etc

Galway County. I think the child would have been conceived in the late 40s. I think this explanation is most plausible. I will let my boss jump to his own conclusions though and hopefully settle on whichever he finds the least distressing. Galway would be rural in this context. It's a pretty tough ...

He is of Irish background. Does that have a bearing?? And by his own admission he and his uncle do share similarities in appearance. Either these kits have some fundamental flaws. Or his family tree does. Yes - it does have a bearing. I'd say that it's true. Especially if he's from rural Irel...
