Re: January transfer window

I think this is proof that no one from inside the club does read KUMB.

If they did, they would know that 'wiping your knob across the screen' fixes all IT issues.

Re: January transfer window

Personally, i don't think a CB come LB works in how we play... we need an attacking full back as that is where most of our attacking width now comes from. Take that away and it takes away a key component of how we play. And if that's the case, we can do no wrong by going for Doughty at Luton in the...

Re: January transfer window

The answer is not Gimenez. A good player, yes, but he is all about movement and finishing. Hes a goal poacher. He is not particularly pacey or involved in build up play. He finishes moves, which he is good at but I dont think thats what we need. I wouldnt turn my nose up at him, but Id hold reservat...

Re: January transfer window

Haven't been on here for a few weeks, so don't know who or what has been talked about, but day one of the window I would put £45mil on the table for Solanke.

Re: World War Two (and all that)

I believe he declared war on the USA in support of Japan, as part of the axis, in the forlorn hope that they would attack Russia and and thus relieve pressure for Germany on the eastern front. Even by December 1941 it was becoming apparent that Germany may have bitten off more than she could chew i...

I'll definitely be going to that next year. I would have gone this year but events conspired against me.

Re: World War Two (and all that)

Mayday, I would respectfully suggest that it is perhaps your interpretation that is wrong. The Americans really didn't want to get involved in the european war. It's true that they were supplying Britain with vast amounts of aid but that was pretty much down to FDR and just a few others in governme...

Re: World War Two (and all that)

Was Hitlers biggest mistake starting a war with The USA or the USSR? He was always, at some stage, going to have a confrontation with Russia, he had made that clear in Mein Kampf, but he was under no real pressure to go to war with the Americans. Your interpretation of history is incorrect here and...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Everton: match thread

First things first. Everton played very well today. They defended excellently. But... I don't understand how we can have arguably our best first eleven (on paper), except for Cresswell (who didn't do anything wrong anyway) and only summon one shot on target?.. We wouldn't have scored if the game las...

Re: Selling on ebay

Hi. I'm into all things RPG and have a lot of the stuff that you guys have (or had.) I sold some of my stuff off pre moving house - mainly 2nd ed AD&D plus some MERPS stuff. ......... I was fairly conservative about the values for most of my items, after a detailed recheck for definite sales, t...

Re: World War Two (and all that)

My argument to any septic tank who utters the phrase “without us y’all be speaking German” after the victory in the Battle of Britain which we fought on our own, Hitler come to the conclusion it wasn’t worth the men & resources needed to invade Britain. All you have to do is point to the mammot...

Re: Selling on ebay

Sounds like we are kindred spirits. I played the same stuff you did and others. GW in Hammersmith, Virgin Mega Store in Oxford Street and Orcs Nest in Soho/Covent Garden (which I still visit every now and then) were the holy trinity of gaming shops way back then. All my stuff has been gathering dust...

Re: Selling on ebay

It's all 80's and 90's stuff from back in the day. I sold my few AD&D 1st edition books about eight years ago. Most of the stuff I have now is warhammer battle & 1st edition fantasy roleplay. Pick of all that is a complete unused warhammer fantasy battle box set 5th edition. All the figures ...

Selling on ebay

I thought I'd put this out to the collective hive mind. I have a lot of 'vintage' fantasy role playing and war gaming stuff that I wish to sell. I've catalogued everything and looked at the prices the stuff would individually sell for on ebay, and it would be approximately £5000 worth of gear, maybe...

Re: Where will we finish?

We're on for a big season I think.

Top 6 if not higher, two cup finals and at least one cup.

I think we're going to get a couple of big players in January too.

Re: SC Freiburg vs West Ham United: match thread (Europa League)

JWP wins you football matches. Great signing. Decisive player. It's not just his goals and assists. He is an exceptional midfielder who is always available and in the right place at the right time every time. He is always there to pick up the ball when either teams move breaks down in midfield and ...
