Re: FA Cup replays scrapped
Loved the presenters impassioned speech about it!! What was his name, Fletcher? He went wildly off-piste for the BBC, passionately expressing his disgust at this and how the whole football pyramid has to bow & bend to 'help' 4 or 5 state-backed or billionaire's clubs. Terrific stuff. Well worth...

Re: FA Cup replays scrapped
I think they could do something a bit novel. For example, in any tie where teams from two different divisions play each other, the team from lower division gets choice of home or away. They can decide if they want the home advantage or a financial windfall if they are playing away at one of the clu...

Re: HotY (April Update)
How does this work? Alvarez has played 38 games in total , kudos 39 That surprises me, I didn't know the stats obviously, but the impression I formed was there were gaps in Alvarez's season through internationals and suspensions. Perhaps testament to him that we seemed to notice his absences more. ...

Re: Scottish Independence
The Greens might take the hump with them and pull the plug on their coalition. Seems the SNP dumped the climate-change targets without so much as a 'do you mind if we...' with their partners, Like all petty nationalists and secessionists their commitment to social & environmental policies is waf...

Nolan, on 5 Live tonight, basically supported the decision :thdn: Gone down a fair bit in my estimation. Loved the presenters impassioned speech about it!! What was his name, Fletcher? Kudus v Bowen for me, Emerson & Areola in the next tier.
If Alvarez had a full season and not been such a card magnet I'd have him in the frame.

Re: FA Cup replays scrapped
Disgraceful decision. Shocked, well not totally shocked but surprised that the FA cup rules can be changed without a majority vote of all clubs involved. A powerful elite and money-mad administrators get to make the call, that doesn't feel right at all. If this sticks I'd change the draw so that the...

Re: Irn Bru - A true British great
It is great isn't it? Love The Bru, likely the best hangover drink known to man, but good on a normal lunchtime also. Up with there with Tayto Cheese & Onion as one of the best regional delicacies in our United Kingdom. Saw some 'funky' variants last time I was in Scotland, a blueberry crush and...

Re: Mayor of London 2024
Heard that too Indie, quite freaky how realistic it was. Never quite get the Khan hate that's become quite common. Unlikely I'll ever vote for him because of his lukewarm support for cycling in London but he's always struck me as a decent enough bloke whose tried his best with the things he actually...
