Re: Angelo Ogbonna

Ogbonna MotM by miles. Unbelievable performance, just amazes me how he seems to be getting better & better with age.

Can't think of many better CBs in the Prem. All Hail Angelo :crest:

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window

Yep. We've been very fortunate that Rice & Soucek have not missed a game! But we can't run them into the ground after the Xmas schedule. DaSilva / Lundstram / Kral or equivalent CM are the priority for me, followed by an LWB, then Striker, then a CB that isn't Craig Dawson. We'll probably manag...

Thought the midfield played well last night, worked their socks off. They were let down by their Left-Back and their Striker.

Do you mean Czech Republic BREXIT Team? Cos after 1st Jan they'd really be no point.. :asleep:

At that age Moyes should get on the phone now and give Sima-a-ring just before he comes to the boil.

Have you seen the absolute state of him recently?! A fat waster on even fatter wages.

We ain't run like a circus no more under Moyes, so no thanks.

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window

Josh Dasilva of Brentford, a 6ft, box to box, left footed Midfielder. They paid a chunk to sign him from Arsenal 18 months ago where he played left wing/No.10. He would get into the Arsenal team at the moment!! Aged 22 and from Ilford. Signed a long term contract in the summer so won't come cheap. ...

The same Delph who badly tore his Hamstring for Everton at the weekend? Sounds about right.

Sead Kolasinac spent much of last season at LWB, but now not getting a look-in at Arsenal.

Emergency loan?

Otherwise consider Ryan Manning, Rico Henry..

Couldn't he have waited until 1st Jan??! Who the hell plays LWB? :(

I'd actually consider Fornals there, with Benhrama taking Pablo's current position..

Re: January 2021 Transfer Window

I don't quite understand the clamour to switch from 5 at the back (which is working at present). You only have to look at Wolves, whom have played a similar system to ours for 3 years now. They have consistently finished top 8. Rather then buy players to fit to a different system, why not try and b...

The Benhrama deal is a loan-to-buy, so should come out of next season's budget..

Re: January transfer thread 2021

But some games will need a back four, a Plan B, or even a Plan A. So if it needs improving to be able to do it, then that's what we need to do - an a LB will be the start of that. Agree we need a Plan B. However I think that should be a 3-5-2 . For example, our 2 wide-men in the current 3-4-3 can m...

Re: January transfer thread 2021

This comment puzzles me. Our results in a back four have been pants because of personnel playing there - mainly on the left hand side - so if we sign a LB that's worth his salts, then we can play back four again. Na. It's the CBs as well, not just LB. Both Diop and Balbuena are totally different pl...
