Of the 11 who played the majority of the game in the win against Arsenal, 9 of them started against Liverpool
Maybe, just maybe, they simply didn't perform that night (and Liverpool played well), rather than Moyes "throwing the game"

Re: Declan Rice
Would never have happened. He was absolutely hell bent determined to finish off with a trophy, and ensure we stayed in the league. Look at his performances in the 2nd half of the season. Would he really have won player of the year from the fans if he mentally checked out. We were 17th at the start ...

Re: Declan Rice
I’ve posted before, and I’ll say it again, I’m reasonably close to one of his inner circle. They’ve always told me he thinks he’s good enough to go win the lot with Arsenal when the deal was practically agreed with Arsenal, (alongside the clubs blessing), a few months back. Everyone wins in this de...

Re: "Invalid form" error message
I had this a few days ago. I stay logged in and wasn't one morning. Got the message and couldn't log in
Tried again a few hours later and it worked. I did initially wonder if someone had changed my password

Re: Coronavirus
Just read on bbc that jkrowling got over it by using breathing techniques from a doctor at queens hospital. She was recommended this by her husband who is only a doctor. Its useful I think just if it helps out one of us. Trouble is I cannot seem to link it from YouTube. By the way I'm not one for s...

Re: Coronavirus
There's a post in another thread, I don't mean to call them out and I hope I haven't misunderstood, that I think sums up some of the attitudes that some people have regarding this. Some people can work from home, therefore reducing the number of people in the workplace and the number of people out a...

Re: Coronavirus
I had an email from my gym a couple of days ago saying they are still open and hope to see me soon. They have since sent emails saying people can freeze membership for free. Schools might be closing, but how many businesses are still expecting staff to come in? The UK government are putting it on to...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
I've got the league table in front of me and your last five results are LLDLL. Is that a village in North Wales? Performances count for nothing when you're not winning points. Southampton are picking up some form too. That LLDLL is Leicester (away), Liverpool, Brighton, Man City (away), Liverpool (...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
No, he altered his tactics to try and find different ways to get results in those games and if I recall did not do to bad a job of it and we still created during those games. What he did not do was write any of them off an automatic defeat and send the players out with the sole intention in trying ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Agree, why even be in the premier League if you don't want to at least try and beat the best teams. As I mentioned earlier, thank **** Slaven Bilic never had that attitude back in the final season at the Boleyn. Bilic kind of did though. There was a spell of 5 drawn games, just after Payet got inju...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Over the last four matches, we are joint-bottom of the league for shots allowed, in the bottom five for big chances conceded and nobody has a worse expected goals conceded (xGC) score. Last four league matches Leicester away (3rd), Liverpool home (1st), Brighton home and Man City away (2nd). Moyes ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Easy. Play football. Every player wants to have the ball, pass and move. Keep finding ways to attack. The mistake is part of the Moyes' mentality. The get that ball up away mentality. It isn't the love thy ball as taught by Bilic and Pellegrini. What we have now is a reactionary, clear the ball up ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Why are 3-1 up at home to Brighton with 20 minutes left. What Moyes did was bring on Masuaku, change formation and retreat 100 yards into our own box just inviting wave after wave of Brighton pressure. Against Brighton...... They had 12 shots in 15 minutes to our 0. The commmentators were describin...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Schoolboys defend better than Diop and Ogbonna did for Brighton's second goal. That was right after the Masuaku sub and could just as easily be used to explain the change of momentum.
Not sure what the manager could do to limit that mistake, which I would say was a howler.
