My favourite quote from The Fighting Cock today:

“ we've become Chelsea...without the titles. The players should be ashamed“

Southgate is breath of fresh air, for his approach towards player selection, you'd think they'd have a manager at all age groups, that mirror his approach.
They did, he was the under 21’s manager first.

Re: CL/Euro games this week

3 of those 5 league goals were penalties, both of those Champions League goals were penalties, 2 of his goals for England were penalties. Tottenham look worse when he plays in my opinion, so I'm happy for him to play for them. There would be a queue for him quite quickly if he became available. I r...

Still 10th to 14th I'm afraid. After all this is West Ham!!! Love the optimism though.
Yep. I reckon 10th. We’ll be down with the Christmas decorations as we always are.

Re: Welcome to the new KUMB Forum

I’m back having done a bit more patio repointing.

Stayed off the site during the match as it was unusable for me.

Not sure if this is a mobile device problem? I’m on iPad and iPhone and both were awful. Sounds like it wasn’t too bad for others.

Running very slow again.

I’m going to repoint the patio and wait for things to speed up later. :crest:

Re: Who will be Mark Noble´s long term successor?

Noble’s replacement needs to be a consistently average player. Good enough to get regular game time but not so good that they stand out a mile and head off to a bigger team.

I think Rice will be too good to stay long term and will have his head turned by another club in a few year’s time.

After the poor mid-week performance, I can see problems continuing today.

I think we may have a bad day and see it being 2-0 to Bournemouth.

Fingers crossed for a surprise. :crest:

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

I’m just so gutted about this result. So many on here were confidently suggesting a weakened team and that we should still have too much for lowly Oxford. I’d like to think we’d learn the lesson this time, but it’ll be the same shower of ***** again next season. A cup is realistically our only chanc...

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

Really want to see a strong squad out tonight. Sod resting players, if we genuinely want to win this competition we need to take it seriously. An underprepared Spurs team were dumped out last night by lower league Colchester. We have to avoid making the same mistake. Go with the best team and worry...

Been pretty much unusable for much of the evening and still really struggling for me.

Looking at the score at the moment, probably best that many can’t post their thoughts :D

how about we dont boo anyone ive never boo'd a player, and i aint going to start now...it aint a pantomime, and im 43! :) This. I think it is so destructive booing your own players. It will never improve a players performance and more likely make them retreat into their shell. If it is actively mak...

Balances out the success of the absolute **** of a man standing next to him I guess. No idea if this famous anecdote about James Corden is true or not, but the fact I have no trouble at all imagining it to be so says plenty in its own right really: Genuinely have no idea why JC gets so much vitriol...

Overall, I thought it was an entertaining 0-0.

Reasonably happy with the performance. Better than many of the dull draws under Big Sam.
