Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

Honestly think if we had Diangana on the left and Antonio on the right behind Haller we'd be devastating.

Shame we won't see it.

Re: Welcome (again), Darren Randolph

Boro fans seem to be gutted and think he's been on of their best players, a thrifty signing but an okay one given the circumstances..

Hopefully this will allow us to use the rest of the transfer kitty on a new CM and RB

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

That tackle was ****ing shocking, I like a good hard tackle but we'll be very lucky if VAR doesn't send him off.. awful awful tackle.

Well surprised we got away with that, if that was on one of ours I'd of been fuming, that's pretty much the exact same tackle that McCarthy did on Payet.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I feel like we've been unlucky with the injuries he's had since he joined. Fabianski injury has been brutal for our form. Antonio injury has stopped Haller in his tracks. Lanzini injury (last years and this years) seems to have shown us to be very light in the middle in terms of creativity. Still, h...

A favour to ask!

Hi All, Looking for a quick favour for anyone that picked up a programme on Sunday. If so, would you please take a quick flick through and see if there was a memoriam for John Patrick Sullivan? He was the best Dad, originally from Dagenham and a lifelong hammer. He brought me and my brother up to ca...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Bring Diangana back in January and coach him to play a bit further forward. He was getting into all sorts of good positions in pre-season and already has all the link up play already.

For people who say he'd get bullied by CBs, He's taller and after putting on some muscle bigger than Chicha.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Pellegrini said he wanted to replace Obiang if he went, he didn't get to.. hence the issue in my mind is not to do with him. We needed another CM, but because of Arnie, we needed to blow our budget on someone to try and get someone on his level, it was that or Chicha leading the line this season.. I...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

I'd play the front 5 we played in pre-season. Wilshere Fornals Anderson Lanzini Haller It's unfair on Antonio but if we want tippy tappy stuff that will work best. Have Lanzini as the one latching onto Haller's knock downs and Fornals and Anderson on the wings and as fluid as they need to be. If tha...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Match Thread (10/8)

Wilshere has been playing well. His link up play has stopped them cruising through the middle Disagree, think he's been our weakest link, caught in possession a couple times and very lucky to have been given a free kick when that happened. Passing been off for me too, he's not been awful and is try...

Re: Andy Carroll

Good riddance, not sure what the love in is with him. Hardly a 'faithful servant' and used to berate teammates anytime he was on the pitch for not closing down enough, when he's easily the least mobile player ever. Scored a couple of worldies but I always felt that his injuries were self impacted by...

Re: Is our 2019/20 squad stronger than last season's?

A lot of people are undervaluing the experience gained by our recruits since last season in this question. Diop, Balbuena and Fredericks hadn't played a PL game between them a year ago. All of them are comparative veterans now, so theoretically they should be a stronger defensive unit and our squad ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Think I posted this before but I would imagine we've written into the deal that Diangana plays every week or a minimum amount of appearances. Otherwise I think we should have had him in and around the squad. I honestly think with a bit more finishing practice he's going to be a top, top player.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Hope our loan deal with Diangana has a clause that he has to play a certain amount of games and a recall option. I'd of preferred him to stay personally, think he's looked a class above in the last two friendlies, been really impressed with his link up play.
