Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

I suspect he wields more power than we realise. He really doesn't. Diabolical bias and the sentimental blindness from the terraces is astonishing. Maybe where you sit, but plenty around me coat him off. It is time that he gets used sparingly, but a suitable replacement needs to be sought urgently. ...

I believe the estates are made in ze vaterland. Mine was, although it is a 2004 and things may have changed. It's been ultra reliable and there's not even a hint of tinworm.
All W205 models are shipped out of Port Elizabeth.

Re: 2nd Hand Car Considerations

Hence why I lease. New car every 2 to 3 years, all covered by manufacturers warranty and I pay about 12 quid a month for maintenance which covers all servicing and tyres - including punctures.

The Three Compasses, Littley Green. Just off the road between Chelmsford and Great Dunmow it used to be a Ridleys house as the brewery used to be down the road. Sadly the brewery is no more since being sold to Greene King and now a housing estate. Now a free house, all ales are served from the cask....

Good pal of mine is a Gills fan having been brought up in Rainham (Kent). But having been born in Wanstead he has a huge soft spot for us. So will be interesting.

Re: 2nd Hand Car Considerations

My 1st RRS had issues as outlined in my earlier post, but the last two have been completely trouble free ( 2012 and 2017 models). The current model is a completely different vehicle from the earlier boxier shape types. Got a mate with a new RRS and it's been a lemon. Gearbox, Central Locking, elect...

Range Rovers have got a horrific rep reliability wise.

I would stick with German, Jap or Korean.

Re: Mark Noble's letter to us - 31/12/2019

He doesn't need to write letters to the fanbase though. Keep his nut down and do the business for 90min on the pitch. The letter just makes him look like a puppet for the two-Bob owners. Well someone thought he should. I'm also not too sure he is that bothered about whether people on social media c...

Re: Mark Noble's letter to us - 31/12/2019

I don't know the specifics of his contract and whether it calls out putting his name to club statements. I suspect that this statement is considered the same as his social media activities and other club PR - like family training days. Personally I think your question is moot. He has made a statemen...

I would not pay no.

Just quote them the Consumer Act 2015. Say that your statutory rights put the onus on them to provide is fix. If the fault was known and is not a case of wear and tear, they should cover the costs.

Re: Mark Noble's letter to us - 31/12/2019

So if Mark Noble loves West Ham like everyone of us, he must have noticed what Sullivan and Co. have done to the club. So to then sign a contract that basically allows the club to put out statements in hes name is a bit f***** up if you ask me. So if Noble refused, would he have been denied a new c...

Re: Mark Noble's letter to us - 31/12/2019

S-h is correct. This is in his contract. He has very little choice. He really does take every loss personally. He has always done so since breaking into the first team. He really does think that he has let the team and the supporters down every single loss. He is not "milking" the club. He has been ...

Re: Car/Legal advice

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you the consumer have to give the retailer one opportunity to remedy or replace the goods, service or digital content. This covers all goods, so a car brought from a dealer is no different from a toaster at Argos. So if they have fixed the problem they are upheld y...

Sadly you're right. Although my mum is by no means vulnerable she is by herself, she always says "I need to check with my son". That usually warns off the scum.

Re: Stair Lift for Oldies

The problem is with moving is it's a stressful process. I'm pretty level headed and it annoyed the **** out of me last time I did it. Cant imagine what's its like for someone who's elderly.

Plus it's an expense. Stamp duty, legal fees, removals etc.

Of course. It goes in cycles. Man City, the worlds richest club who have spent and spent are now on the demise with Liverpool on the ascendancy. No club will ever dominate forever.

Correct Mushy. The only thing bad here is peoples memories, either that or they are complete fantasists. The icelandics came in and said Champion League and the fanbase got a massive hard on. We then signed over the hill mercenaries on long term contracts on crazy money. Even if the world economy ha...
