Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
me like I would say 99% of us here, whether Moyes "in" or Moyes "out" would be absolutely orgasmic if that were to come (excuse the pun) fruition... If the red velvet and gold leaf remains then it doesn't make much difference how much shuffling of the board there is. There's one...

Re: Trump
He survived. Which is astonishing. I inadvertently saw the video of this not knowing what it was until he sat up. I can’t imagine he’d want to be alive still. Not after that.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Interesting to see Moyes refer to West Ham as "they." He doesn't seem to have as much affection for the place as he did some of his other old clubs. Definitely seems to be in a mode of detachment. He's done this since the day he joined the club. I've brought it up many times over the past...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Alonso played the game perfectly. Not that it took a master tactician to create the correct plan for the game. He knew that we'd throw the kitchen sink at them. He knew that his side had to hold us to a goal. It almost didn't work given the length of the adrenaline buzz our players were running on i...

Paqueta and Emerson had better bust a lung in this one. That's all I'll say. Especially since Paqueta didn't show last night. Benefit of the doubt for him having a good reason. Still...

83rd minute. 93rd minute. 89th minute. That's a little brutal.

Listening to the Football Daily, Euro Leagues. According to them, nothing to see here. We were better than Leverkusen because Bayer were hungover and without sleep.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Undoubtedly mate and we are where we are but everyone was happy with the way we lost tonight and it’s not as if we win every week by sitting back and low blocking anyway is it? Perfectly valid to question why we haven’t played more like we did tonight before tonight in my opinion. January might exp...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I'm not making that argument. Doesn't matter what system you play at that level if you don't have the option make useful personnel changes during the game. Not just once but up to 3x /game.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
It's all so aggravating. This team can play his system but not for 90 minutes. Not unless you have 5 or 6 players on the bench to come in and either continue what they were doing or make adjustments and keep pushing effectively. Why in the world do we repeatedly allow the squad to get beyond bare? I...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Reporter: "was there any justification from the 4th official to explain their decisions?" Moyes: "No. Maybe they're bench all speaks Spanish and their manager speaks Spanish and I don't. Maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe I should have learned my Spanish better when I was o...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
If we'd had Lucas 2nd half we'd have made a few passes through the middle, forcing them to come inside and give space to our wide players to get the ball forward. Instead 2hd half it was easy for them to just sit and let us play wide, back to CB, wide, back to CB, hoof. JWP did fantastic, but is no...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Leverkusen had the options to change things first half. Kossounou was a disaster, on a yellow card and being absolutely torn a new one. Alonso could haul him off early and bring on Tapsoba. It’s a shame Alonso didn’t risk it a bit longer, as I thought we would either score again or he’d get sent of...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
No doubt: a magnificent first half, and I felt cheated not to beat them. Serious question: what would have happened if Antonio used his obvious physical strength to stand up, keep upright whenever he could, and avoided going to ground whenever possible? Would we benefit from keeping the ball alive?...
