Re: Sobriety

My sister is here visiting. She likes a gin, so I surprised her with a Koppenburg 0.0 Gin, lemonade and Strawberry drink, as she was driving. She drunk a mouthful and nearly spit it out. I tried it and it had the same effect on me. Disgusting - like sweek sugar water - which it probably is. I'd stee...

Re: Sobriety

7 Days today.

I didn't remotely fancy a drink all week, but tonight about 11 pm I felt like one. I had a cup of tea and some snacks. Wasn't remotely interested then.

Next drinking day will be April 5th when I meet a mate for a gig. Then it's no more drink to MAY 22.

Re: Books you are reading

Just finished reading The Dresden Files - volume 4 - and it's the best of the bunch so far. Werewolves, faries, Unicorns, wars between realms and a possible end of the world scenario - what's not to like - oh yeah and police and guns. Stories of the Space Marines - a book of short stories about vari...

Re: Sobriety

We know it doesn't, but this approach is a superb way forward for anything, not just sobriety. The power of what we tell ourselves is very strong and people need to give it a go in other contexts, e.g. if you're feeling upset, literally word with yourself, express gratitude for good things in life ...
