Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

"Bum Daddies" - The Manor Arms - Been done out, but still has "character", great bar staff, top prices ( 3 quality beers for about £10 ish), close a little early than what I'm used to (That said it's open at 9 AM) - quality Guinness and a top juke box. Mushy - I'm looking at you mate :) And you are...

Top tip as regards the egg boxes.
Remove all eggs before nailing to the wall (the boxes not the eggs).

I believed the hype about the London Stadium and the original deal where we got it for free was a great one
They do say there is no such thing as a free stadium, and they right.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Congratulations Bristol, you have changed your life around in a remarkable way. Fantastic stuff and well done. Shanghai, Three failed suicide attempts is a sobering statement for us all to ponder on. You mention that the depression has largely gone away but not really said why (I think). Was there a...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

In the press conference prior to the Sheff Utd game, our manager said we know what to expect, and described the opposition as direct long ball type of team. Sheff Utd under Chris Wilder have never been that type of team. This shows to me that for some teams at least we don't do any preparation at al...

Re: Are we signing the right calibre of players?

Letting players like Obiang and Kouyate go and then not replacing them is criminal. Not just criminal but completely negligent. Whoever is responsible for these decisions should be thrown out of the club straight away. I watched Kouyate yesterday and he was all over the pitch and contributed at bot...

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)

We'll probably win as all the ingredients are there for a defeat. I seem to remember one of our most abject away performances of last season coming at this gaff - it was an Allardycian style "turn up but do nothing else" performance. Last season's poor performance seemed to come from nowhere, it al...

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Its a great post Samba, and those points you made are valid. I would like to add one caveat though (and you touched on it in your post). There doesnt have to be a trigger, there doesnt have to be neglect or any other negative that has caused the mental health issues. Some people just have it. There ...

Wouldn’t class Avram Grant as “tried and trusted.” Always thought that was a wild punt that made absolutely no sense.
Our owners saw the words 'Champions League Final' on his CV and squealed with delight
That's about as tried and tested as you need with those blokes.

A double break plus ankle dislocation? if true I doubt very much he will play again.
The ankle is a complicated joint (ask Dean Ashton).

But the question I asked as regards would we have behaved the same way as the management and supporters of Sheff Utd hasn't really been answered (I think). My guess is we would have screamed blue murder and done everything we could.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

Holly Tree has been taken over by the Remarkable Pub Company and has taken 6 months to re-furbish, which seems very excessive. Whilst half decent, and does serve up decent grub, it doesn't show football any more so that has annoyed me .e Same mob that own The Boleyn Tavern. More family orientated b...

But none of the rulings were actually Mccabes fault though were they? He fought for his club (and his own money).
If the boot was on the other foot do we think that West Ham would have behaved any more honourably?

Re: The lies that tarnished West Ham's good name

Sorry for the late response: I don't know Paul UTJ, and my comments were purely prompted by the article. I was pretty wound up myself. It had been a while but I'd had a gutfull of this kind of crap levelled at the club by Sheffield United fans, and misguided and/or mischief making 'neutrals'. I don...
